That's money well spent. Trust me. Those vans are built tough. I could see myself using one for the first 100,000. After that. Basically get something else.

I heard parts are very hard to locate

Have you seen the crash test for a mahindra. If you can put a price on your life go right ahead. ...Safety is not the area in which I want to save money. If $100k is the difference between a fighting chance and death would you save that money

Chevy not that safe either ... their company has had a lot of safety recalls recently. Including one a few weeks ago with the Colorado's seats not being attached properly. In the event of a crash the seat detaches and the front seat passengers can be seriously injured.

I would consider it
The colorado has more power than the lux and is more realistically priced.

My drawback however would be parts and resale. It shares parts with the d-max but general availability might be lower.

Likelyhood of being stolen might be lower jus cause there are a lot less of them around

Colorado Dual Cab 4×4 2.8TD LTZ Z71 Auto Leather MyLink $280k?
Hilux auto 4x4 leather $294K?

For that small difference...Im sure in 5 years youd be able to get $150k for the hilux...as for the colorado,well...last person I knew who bought one new paid $245k auto etc(previous model with the 3.0L)..after 5 yrs sold it for $65K IIRC..not to mention the engine went at 90k kms.
I dont know anything about this new 2.8 engine

Wow...New hilux...wonder what the prices gonna be like....
This one looks like a tall corolla
The bonnet is too flat and long
Doesn't look too aggressive
Flares over the tyre is missing....liked that in the previous model...
Interior looks too confusing and clustered....Doesn't have a smooth look..
What's with the tablet looking screen.....hmmm.

Things I like
New style rims and beefier looking tyres
Looks like a 6 speed manual with a shorter gear stick
More car like front on appearance
Electric air conditioning controls finally
HIDs

Things I don't like
It looks like a boat from the side
Somehow those rounded cornerswith the fender bulges just don't work.
That narrow upright strip of glass on the back window
Weird looking steering wheel

Really have to see it in person though

I never understood Classic Motors sale strategies.

Classic basic CRV advertised prices were from $389 to $329 to $299 to $349 within a period of a year.

Saw a new Honda Hybrid Vezel on the road yesterday ... Any mechanic's out there that know how to tinker with Honda dual clutch transmission and an electrified drive train or is this vehicle a time bomb?

Are the first page prices up to date at $285,000.00?

Well in the last of the 2012 facelift model there is this silver-grey color that I have only seen recently. .. That would work for me.
Interesting thing is these new Toyota diesel engines appear to be brand new with better power figures for the lower end 2.4.
Not sure about the decision to keep leaf Springs though.

The Blue is better:smile:

On another note I see the Mitsubishi lancer has VTEC. How is that car selling at 150k....I would think it a bargain except that it needs premium fuel

IIRC, the advertisement in the newspaper has the Lancer being equipped with "VTEC" and the ASX being equipped with "MIVEC".

I don't thing the chrome trimmings look that bad.... does this mean I am a Raj now :(

As long as it's performance and durability are still up to mark it will still sell like hot cakes.
