what's the situation with workers and their salaries when something like this happen though?

They said with insurance they should be able to sustain and workers won't have to be let go

So workers would continue getting full pay until they rebuild?

all how they trying to blame the govt....now they saying no water for the fire.

If they have business interruption insurance, workers might get paid

And if a company does a planned demolition and rebuild, do workers have to be paid in those months between demolition and rebuilding/restocking?

My understanding is that the co can chose to pay the workers off with severance etc based on the terms of their employment...
but it might make more business sense to keep the crews that you have trained/invested in to not have those issues when you start back up.

Good workers are HARD to find and if you have a crew that is solid-it better to keep them.

Treating your workers better than you have to always pays dividends
