On the San Fernando to Princes Town Highway, Rambachan said his Ministry was reviewing the existing designs and also coming up with more reasonable costs for the project.

“I expect the start-up day (for this project) to be within the next two months,” he said. When Gopee-Scoon expressed scepticism, he said: “The highway will start and the tractors will run, you can be assured that will happen.”

So I saw the M2 was closed tonight after the entrance to Gandhi Village. I guess the refurb work has begun.

That area does need some work.

Really hope they continue onward and fix the rest of the road back to the four roads junction.

I was under the impression that it was the entire M2 being fixed. Well from Debe to the end at Lagoon I mean.

It was open again when I passed this afternoon. I saw they cleared/graded both sides of the road.

Has the work been completed on the M2? Also:

He said, “From St Mary's Junction to Mon Desir and from Mon Desir to Rousillac, they are due to be opened by end of this month. We have alerted the ministry that we are ready for formal opening of that segment.”

Nowhere close to being to being finished. Seems like work is only being done at night and they're currently working on the Lagoon to Woodland section.

If all that they are going to do is mill and repave, that work will fail in a short space of time and just be a waste of money. That entire M2 Ring Road needs full depth reconstruction, probably something similar to what was done around 2009 on the section from Golconda to Debe.

preach it.

These people really dunno one fork, if you see the work they doing on san fransique road, just where the land slide took place, they building up the skidded portion with boulders and planning to repave it, The previous retaining wall they built a few years ago broke, sigh

I read they opening St. Mary's junction to Mon Desir and Mon Desir to Rousillac by the end of this month, according to Charles. Where is St. Mary's junction in south Oropouche?

Wow.....i hope they do the entire road, cuz from woodland to debe is THE WORST! even if they just fix it up without doing foundation works, it may still be okay by the time the highway is finished....

Go down the highway. Then thru Delhi road. The road inside Delhi road isn't all that good but its passable. Plenty bumps.

Lowered cars nono

If you using a pick up truck then by all means through the highway to dehli toad turn off.
Dehli road a little rough till Seeram junction but not rough enough to feel in a truck. You save real time.

For those heading into Forest Reserve, it is much shorter (by 1.4kms) to take the new highway and pass through Mon Desir than passing through Avocat / Fyzabad main route..

From seeram junction they can turn right and go through ghearoo (not sure of spelling) trace and reach a stones throw away from forest reserve gate.
Road not too car friendly though (part of it).
