It's strange. Sometimes u're hearing water in the line. almost like it trying to come out, but it can't.

Ok, according to tv6 there was a transformer outage and we may have to wait 72 hours to get service restored. 24/7 in 2015 folks

It seems that what I was told is starting to happen.

Stock up on water, gas and electricity!

Plenty more to come.

Some weeks ago a tank technician came to repair a part and I was telling him how jokey it was that after going through great expense to put a water backup plan in place because of the many water outages since a May last year, the water has been very reliable (since December anyway).

The man laugh and say doh look at it that way cause WASA have a plan for we.

This electrocuted snake has shut down the water supply to thousands
Source: http://www.trinidadexpress.com/news/An- ... 53591.html

By the Multimedia Desk
Story Created: Apr 13, 2015 at 9:43 AM ECT

A SNAKE that slithered into the compound WASA's water treatment plant in North Oropouche triggered a series of events that knocked out the water supply to thousands of people along the east-west corridor and as far south as Manzanilla. The following is WASA's statement on the bizarre incident -

Works to repair the transformer at the North Oropouche Water Treatment is expected to be completed and the water supply restored to affected customers by Wednesday 15th April, 2015. This after a snake crawled onto the transformer, coming into contact with two leads that grounded off, resulting in an electrical fire that burned the transformer wiring at the Plant last Saturday night – 11th April 2015.

This was discovered as a team that included Specialist Electrical Engineer, Peter Sammy, as well as T&TEC and WASA engineers, assessed the problem at the transformer to determine the necessary corrective measures, in order to restore the power supply to the facility.
Customers are therefore reminded to manage their water use efficiently during this period of service interruption, as a limited truck-borne water service is available with priority given to health institutions, special homes and schools.

The areas affected include:

· Sangre Grande, Guaico, Manzanilla, Coryal and environs
· La Horquetta
· Malabar Phases 1, 3 and 4
· Tumpuna Road South, Brazil Village, San Raphael
· O'Meara Road
· Carapo
· Sunrise Park, Millennium Park
· Mausica Road, Crescent Gardens
· Maloney
· Oropune Gardens
· Golden Grove Road
· Five Rivers, Arouca
