Found a solution to my problem on the previous page myself after talking with over 10 EA"specialists" and hours wasted speaking with them on the phone and having them make me do almost every thing possible ...worst tech team ever btw...was so simple but took a while of googling(just a couple hours lol) the problem and reading thru several links

just follow these steps...no need to worry about the rest but still good to read thru it just incase:
At then end though, all I had to do was follow these instructions(quoted from link above):

Linking An EA Classic Screen Name
Many older EA games were only available for the personal computer (PC). In order to play them, you had to establish an online identification (ID). These older EA online IDs are known as EA classic screen names. Sometimes people need to link these to an updated Origin/EA account. Instructions for doing so are below.

1. Login to the https://profile.ea.com/ website.
2. Click on the “Add Persona” button.
3. Click the circle for “existing EA Classic Screen Name”.
4. Enter your “Account Name” and “Password:”.
5. Click on “Add Persona” and follow any subsequent directions.


EXCEPT from step 2 under "Add Persona" I just had to select my existing EA ID as my default persona under the option "Select A Default Persona"

BF4 is pretty intense...I heard the version with the add-on packs makes the standard version look like a demo.
