There are 2 places in POS that I have used: Stephen's Watch Repair Center (http://tntyp.com/Trinidad/Stephens-Watch-Repair-Centre/profile), and one of those mall jeweler's places along Frederick St. (along the right hand side while facing north) that I can't remember right now. The man in there is also a trained horologist with certificates. A BA degree is offered in horology at some universities, which should tell you about the level of technical expertise required with these watches.

there's also a good horologist in St Augustine, near HiLo (On Sellier, between Riverside and Frederick Streets...small place on the left when heading west...he did the battery replacement on my Caravelle and repaired a few others for me

That box real nice, price ain't bad either. May I ask how much was it to clear it thru skybox?

Picked this up late last year, the band is really comfortable.

The two boxes were $200 to clear with WS.

It does sometimes. Not frequently enough to be an irritant.

Who would be best to evaluate a rolex locally for authenticity?

You don't ever buy, New Rolex, Breitling and top end watches online.
There's a process to register the watch with your presence needed.
Besides you gonna trust buying a $8000 US plus watch online?

The watch isn't new.Its a used vintage rolex with the certificate of authenticity.

Any of you here checked out tayroc branded watches. Some really interesting designs and the prices are too ridiculous.

Looks good but the connection for bezel to strap is hideous.

If you ever in Barbados .. Rolex is the rave.

Prices are very good, duty free :D

Also see Movado, Tag Heuer , Rado.

Tag is my favorite . Rolex designs are dated.

Very risky buying vintage rolex online.
If still buying you need to see the service records from the Rolex service agents.
Rolex service records are a perfect indication that the watch is genuine.

Watch dealers have been know to change out the Dials, bands ect to duplicate Rolex as genuine.
Remember a Rolex is the most faked watch.

About 2 days. A spring can only store so much energy. You have to wear it everyday because it winds automatically due to the regular kinetic movement of your wrist during the day. You would also have to set the date every month again. I got fed up of my Seiko 5 because of that and switched to a perpetual calendar watch. The crystal also got scratched a bit and I have no idea how. So my current watch has a sapphire crystal as well.

That's a seiko5 automatic. I wear one as my everyday watch. Once off your wrist it can last up to 48hrs.

If got the 23 jewel version can last a lil longer. I got 3 seiko 5 and use to suit the occasion . Best everyday auto watch to use.
