I want to get some information on sourcing a Chinese manufacturer. Where is the best place to look. I am looking for apparel manufacturer. Yes I have tried google, alibaba, HKTDC but they all seem pretty confusing. I've heard of people getting scammed by some fake companies in China. I know there are some people on here that deal with Chinese manufacturers so I thought I'd ask.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The best place to look is probably not here, and if you don't have your own established 'brand' or retail outlets you may not be able to fill their MOQ's etc.

Actually there are small apparel manufacturers that do smaller amounts and I never said it was for resale in TT...

Why don't you say what you want to get done rather than expecting people to offer a solution for a question they are not sure of?

EG..just ask what you want made and in what quantities and maybe you can get your idea moving, then ask for a price and you know where you stand.

I own an apparel company that produces a lot of "made from scratch" private label garments for various US resellers.
Dealing with China (or any other overseas apparel manufacture) is not easy. They all make big promises and often times you'll get the sheitty end of the stick. I have clients who got stuck with tens of thousands of dollars because colors were off or sizing were very different than initial samples.
And China prices ain't so great, compared to the sheit you'll be getting..

I thought I made myself clear when I asked for a manufacturer for apparel. OK here's another go at it. I am looking for a small quantity order manufacturer of women's clothing.
