If you're eventually successful Wrecker, ask if ANYTHING is for sale nuh?

Even though I have a feeling he's been asked that more than a few times.

shame ...it's not really a collection more like a scrap yard ...dont understand why people keep them till they rot...sell to people that will appreciate and restore...

does the owner restore any of these or does he just have them with "the intention to fix them up someday" :?:
You guys on here are on a higher level of classic car appreciation than I, but this seems more mausoleum than museum :/
Pretty sure I'd leave there feeling more depressed than excited

It's kinda depressing to me and I haven't even visited it in the flesh yet.

Sentimental value is a hell of a thing to break. Hopefully one day he changes his mind. Just imagine seeing some of those next to you in traffic, fully restored.... or even better owning one and restoring it yourself.

Yea nothing is for sale. Never disclosed the location or name and took almost two years before I did post photos . The guy is cool, his kids suck though because they have no interest hence my need to get adopted. It's good though that although they are not restored they are sheltered, and who really wants to see a db6 with a sr20? Lol. Hope it's saved sometime cars nm how fast or slow old or new ugly or pretty need to be saved and driven because they all are just awesome

might be a 37 Vauxhaul... body looks solid . But sadly..in reality very few could afford to restore it properly. And then even with a first class resto...you'd barely get $60 or $70g for it...and thats after spending close to a "hunerd" on it. Would make a great Rat-Rod tho! Quite a few of these high top boxy Vauxies from the thirties were the fore-runners to the Hot-Rods of the 50's and 60s.

Is better they safe in the shed than suffering the faith of the others that would have just needed a bit of work like those but were cut up and sold for scrap iron. That scrap iron industry is one of the reasons most of these cars are not around anymore.

If you interested in restoring the car go for it. Cars especially what's available in Trinidad won't give much any a return. You need to be passionate and want to restore and own it. Just be careful, ppl claiming to be specialist charge alot of money and do shoddy work. A friend of mine had a classic oldsmobile ' restored '. Body left done improperly although the garage tooka very long time , around the windscreen, front nose and several other areas are very rusty and not corrected . Mechanical work was poor, pitman arm fell out as the wrong one was used. Brake system also incorrectly repaired and incorrect springs used. Money was charged for exhaust work, it was not done. My friend is up to this point correcting all the atrocious work done to the car. The ' mechanic ' owes him money up to this date. Exhaust redone, springs and shocks, brakes system. I hope the rest of it holds up.

doubt it's a vauxhall....the telltale detail on all pre-war vauxhall is the fluted bonnet
Image

see the flute, ie the dimple that starts at the grille and trails down the bonnet?
They all have that in one form or another
