non trusted brands: Nexen, sailun, roadstone, triangle, Hercules, wanli, nankang, gt radial and cooper to name a few
trusted brands: Dunlop, Kumho, Pirelli, Michelin, continental, Goodyear, hankook, toyo, falken, sumitomo to name a few
Would the above be a proper assumption?
I had Nexen, nankang, triangle and roadstone and the last 2 were hard tyres that lasted long but the grip and ride quality were poor. The nankang IMO is a better performer. The nexens I had were the ones in the earlies that were labelled by 'experts' to have side-wall failure. It never happened to me but they were avg performers. My latest choice now is dunlops which are excellent performance overall for the money. Kumhos are excellent especially the solus line where comfort and grip are both important. Continentals behaved like superior dunlops hence the price. No experience with the others.
