Serious? I see a lot of phones carry SD cards, didn't know they slow in comparison to a ssd. Would have though they at least rival a traditional HD.

Was considering it to keep windows separate drive from storage so if windows goes corrupt my data safe.

don't know about the company but i was actually going to buy this same drive but then i got a 240gb sandisk ultra 2 instead cuz huge discount during xmas sale

ive read the specs on the ssd and it seems very solid, read/write speed is impressive and no complaints about the controller and as you can see the reviews on the drive itself is pretty good

they say when buying an ssd the best thing to do is go for the ones with the highest gigabyte per buck which would be this silicon power ssd unless you're an uber pc guy that has to have the fastest of the fast which is probably those samsung evo drives

Have bought SP flash drives and an external hard drive before. .. Haven't had a problem yet. .. company products are decent
The drive you are considering seems to be an excellent bargain. Toggle mode Nand with a Sandforce controller will be fast.
Please ensure that the rest of your system can keep pace.

The reason that flash drives and sd cards are slower is due to the controller or lack thereof...SSDs have multichannel controllers that are connected to a faster interface than a single channel flash drive or memory card connected to a slower interface.

I playing the waiting game to see if the kingston ssd drops to match the black Friday sale price.
If not ill scoop up one of these and use it in place of my hard drive.

Not an uber PC guy so average will do.

I know that Kingston has pulled a bait and switch with their SSDs recently. .. anandtech did an article about it. Don't know if that has changed any

Still have a 64gb ssd (mushkin callisto deluxe) going on almost 5 yrs now. .. There was a marked increase in speed going from my Intel e4400 with 2gb of RAM to my celeron 530 with 8gb of RAM using the same ssd.

Haven't heard anything as of recent. Drive was under US$50.00 so I bagged it.
Slower transfer rates might not be any big issue with me. I get what I pay for I guess

Edit: seeing a bait and switch claim for the silicon on amazon reviews.

Wow. .. I was unaware that SP did this as well.
I said recent for Kingston but that happened sometime in the middle of the year with the v300...Might find it reading through the one star reviews
Hope it is still fast though :-)

finally managed to complete the rebuild with trifire sapphire vaporx r9 280x's, coolermaster storm trooper case seasonic 1250w psu.
i had real trouble with the 3rd gpu as these cards are thicker than dual slot,
the middle cards heatsink covered the third pcie slot so i had to use a 16x-16x riser and luckily the trooper case allows a card to be mounted at 90 degrees.

Finally decided to clean out my pc. One of the best investments I made were filters yes. The only problem is the fine particles that get pass them now.

It's amazing how much a good cleaning helps a system.

So I never really overclocked or anything before but I was in my Z97-A's BIOS yesterday just.. Observing. Becoming familiar with it. I saw something called EZ Tuning... Figured I'd open it up and play with it. Just basically stated that I have an aftermarket cooler and I use the pc for gaming and it decided to optimize accordingly. Clicked restart... Boom nothing. Just two red lights on the mobo. Had to clear the CMOS to get it back on.. Scare of my life since it's the first PC I've ever built lol. Now I'm scared to touch anything... But anyone can shed some light on why something like this may occur?

Cause you used the automatic option. ...In the earlies it used to crash a couple of times to find stable settings... not sure if it still does that. Read up on overclocking and the parameters and use the manual options on future

My question to you now is what processor do you have and why do you want to overclock it.

I couldn't get any post at all tho. No display.. Nothing. But yeah I have some reading to do.

I have an i5 4690k and no real reason exactly.. Just for the fun of it.

You mind giving some more info on this? Where do you place the filter, source and price, etc?

ARe u getting full PCIE 3.0 bandwidth from the board to the card?

If so can u send me a link to the specific riser device you're using?

I believe I'm currently getting 3.0 8x8x 2.0 4x

If I was going to do a trifire setup again I would buy dual slot cards so that all 3 could fit in a slot on the board (waiting for sky lake before I buy a new Maximus extreme mobo).
I am having some stability issues with the third card installed,
I bought 3 risers just in case I got a defective one and I'm getting the same problem on all 3 I really don't know what's causing it I think I've surpassed the capabilities of my p8z77-v lk mobo.
Tbh right now I'd like to sell all 3 cards and go with dual r9 290x or gtx970's.
unfortunately I have been told I'm not allowed to sell my cards on tuner :( so I'm stuck with them lol.
The risers I got are rif6 they're available on Amazon they seem to be high quality and robust
ImageUploadedByTriniTuner1420684182.530052.jpg

Scaling is pretty good 2 cards best firestrike extreme score is 7149 which is actually highest score for my setup on 3dmark right now,
the trifire setup hit just under 10k with the cards running at 1190mhz clock.
Considering the three cards and shipping was around 750us that's not bad

Was afraid of bandwidth issues mainly. Most of them not really robust or anything, most of them are really an ide cable and a male and female pcie connector on the ends. :| They probably missed a pin/s on the cable that tells the board there's more than one gpu installed and to initialize sli/xfire mode or something so.

Just considering them for use in a rackmount type case for mounting a full sized gpu, getting bored of micro atx tower and those box type htpc cases.

Anyone here plays Black Ops 2, Battlefield 3, Counter Strike GO and DayZ?

I have all 4 including the season pass for black ops 2 on PC also play BO2 zombies on PC aswell

If anyone else play any of these games maybe we can link up. Those 4 games are what I play most online.

The funny thing is somehow CS GO is miles better than COD and Battlefield. Yet CS GO is soo simple, guess its the gameplay and competitive mode.

Guys I need your help please. Upgrading my mobo, CPU and ram and want to use this PSU with my existing case: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H33SFJU

The case is a Codegen SuperPower AP3326-CA which came as a combo with a Codegen CG-PXA4-3 PSU. See links for them below:
http://e96.ru/computers/accessories/kor ... 26-ca-500w
http://www.impactcomputers.com/cg-pxa4-3.html

What I'd like to know is if the EVGA PSU can fit in this case, since its dimensions are different from the old Codegen PSU. Can anyone advise me?
