easiest to get from the netherlands. ur travel agant could give u the itenery and hotel reseveration print out (u dont have to pay just book). takes 3-4 working days. with the one from the netherlands you dont have to enter there first, it is just that the others germany, france etc are a lot more hassel to get it.

German embassy is very strict with their requirements. French embassy is a little less. Never went through any of the other embassies.

Most important part is to have health insurance for the duration of your stay.

algico has travel insurance for like 200-300. can't remem exactly since i didn't need it. call them and you'll get a quick quote.

almost everyone else who was at the netherlands embassy on the day that i went to apply for the visa had a little algico envelope with them.

Was fast and simple. Since was a group together she processed everyone instead of having to wait on appointment times.

Had a few people coming who had their forms etc but they said they didn't know they had to make appts. So they were told to go Online and make an appt.

If you're staying in the UK by relatives and just want to hop across to Amsterdam for a weekend, do you have state where you're staying in the UK or do you just need to show your round trip flights to and from Amsterdam?

It's easy usually. From what I see the need to go to the Spanish embassy. Just give them the exact documents you need to and you get it. Remember apply for the visa to the country of main visit or country of first entry. Things you need should be bank statement(proof of funds), itinerary, flight details, proof of accommodation an invitation if you have one. Travel insurance with coverage for about 30k USD is a must. Specific embassy will give you the exact details.

Check an online service called atlas travel insurance. Pay with credit card. It's actually very cheap. Just make sure you get the correct monetary coverage

Thank you. Got everything I needed there.

The insurance has to cover the entire trip period right? So if am going for 2wks it would be from first to last day? Am reading something abt the insurance coverage should be extended for up to 15 days after the intended date of departure. maybe am misreading something. http://www.exteriores.gob.es/Embajadas/ ... 1T2015.pdf

My insurance covered the exact dates a few years ago. If they specify something different then do what they say.

I'll email them to clarify and also to let them know that the link to get the application form is not working.

Yea they are usually very helpful. Last time I had to send my passport to the Swiss embassy in Venezuela. They were nice and really efficient.

Only the Spanish have the need for your insurance to cover past the dates you intend to stay. However I know ppl have gotten in without the coverage past the dates. Dependent on your itinerary and travel arrangements your visa could possibly not be checked in Spain at all.

I had gotten from France embassy before and it was easy, so this should be the same. Only thing I see different is the 15day insurance extension.

That's a welcome news.
Trinis need to travel and learn more about other cultures apart from the US which is really a rat hole.

People acting as if this is the biggest hindrance to travelling to Europe. Applying for and receiving a Schengen Visa is probably the easiest visa application process that you can go through.

This agreement will not magically make 25K appear in your bank account.
