Story time:
Know someone who purchased a CK lancer new from Diamond.
Transaction was done where the wife contributed to the purchase, but CC was on husband's name.
Fast Forward a few years, husband and wife are divorced. Wife kept the car and sold it.
Car couldn't be transferred as CC was not in her name.
Car seen all over pulling bull and was sold a few times but never transferred.
(Now former) husband says eff dat one day and starts process to recover car.
He gets the CC with his name and eventually sees the car parked up at a residence.
He gets a police officer and wrecker to accompany him and goes to the residence that the car was seen.
He recovers the car from the "owner" who claims he just took out a loan and paid a man to purchase it.
Man asks about compensation for the loan that he just took.
Police answers: What compensation? You paid a man money for a car that was not his.
In the end, my friend got back his car, and the man who took the loan to purchase without doing his homework on the CC lost all of his money.
