help needed. Samsung smart tv without wifi

Postby Goolie » December 19th, 2014, 9:23 pm

So I need some help guys. Have a 32'' smart tv that did not come with built in wifi.
I bought a wifi dongle hoping this would solve my problem. It does not work on the tv. The tv does not recognise it even.
any ideas to get around this? Amazon has a samsung wifi dongle but I dont think its compatible with my series 4300 smart tv.
Any body has any ideas?
keep the stupid on ur side please. Thank you. Lol

Why not connect directly wired? If you are going to buy a dongle under Samsung self , they would expressly state whether they compatible or not

once your phone/tablet and your TV are on the same network then AllShare will work, wired or wireless.
Does your TV support AllShare though?

You can use a Roku, Apple TV, Chrome Cast etc to share content from your phone or tablet to your TV (just about any TV) much easier, more efficiently and elegantly than AllShare.

Samsung makes excellent TVs. Some of the best showing plasmas are from Samsung. My main home theatre plasma is from Samsung. They make nice refrigerators too! But AllShare is just not all that IMO.

Samsung TV's will work ONLY with the Samsung wifi dongle called a Samsung Link Stick sold as an optional accessory unfortunately, if you want to have wifi then you are better off with Duane's recommendation.

Thanks guys, did some digging and I think I'm gonna get the chromecast. Seems like a cost effective solution for my application.
