Running this on my current rig

http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VS247H-P-23-6-Inch-Full-HD-LED-Lit/dp/B005BZNDS0/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1419267076&sr=1-8&keywords=asus+24+inch+monitor+led

Works great.
I use it for gaming and watching movies mostly.

From my older rig I have one of those AOCs from supertech it's a 22" 1080p LED and it works pretty well. They would do the job for you.

^ Best thing to do is purchase monitor and case locally and buy the rest of parts online.

Brought in three of those Asus monitors awhile back, think i paid $300 sumthing to clear each one with websource. Still have one using as a secondary, good quality. You'll come out better bringing it in imo

That is the first person I look for but didn't see a thread in the misc bargain center.
His prices are usually really good. Bought my last monitor from him and its still 100% functional, price was really good too.

He still deals with these stuff?

The battery in my laptop is shot. So I tried to run it off ac power alone, which works for like a minute after you log in at which point the laptop cuts off. Is this normal? The laptop is an Asus rog model.

that shouldn't be normal, my laptop and most laptops can run without a battery. this might suggest that you have some other problem. if you leave it on the logon screen or in bios will it stay on indefinitely?

I really have not tried. I ordered a new battery but when I use it on battery power it works, however of I plug it in on ac it works for a fee minutes then instantly shuts down. I have no clue why.

1.turn it on as normal with battery and charger in and time it to see how long it takes to shutdown

2.remove the battery and turn it on with the adapter but go don't go to windows instead go into the bios and leave it there....time it and see if it cuts off

if it cuts off while in the bios with the battery out most likely either
a. your laptop has an overheating issue or
b. the adapter has a fault

I ran a check, an anti-virus scan, a cc cleaner and cleaned out the entire laptop with canned air and a brush. Seems to have fixed the issue as I left it on for the entire night and it's still on this morning. Thanks everyone for all the assistance.

Does anyone have experience using the Genius brand of speakers that The Wizz are selling? The prices are good and they have decent reviews on amazon.

CD DVD burner.
New PS
New boards.
Interigrate graphics.
8gb ram
500gb hhd

Small thing. Basic PC.

Never had any problems with it. I'd recommend him to anyone because of the service.
Called Friday and was ready by Sunday morning

I myself looking to bump up the RAM and processor too.

Saw there are sata to SD card adapters. An adapter is just around US$20.00 and one can have a few GB proper for under TT$100.00. Will it make sense loading windows on a decent SD card dedicated for booting / windows?
Can even ramp it up and use SD cards for storage as opposed to hard drive but of course it has to do with the card controller too. So what should one look for in such?

^ I don't think that's sensible because SD cards have a poor read/write speed when compared to a hard drive.

I find it better to use USB 3 flash drives instead, booting from an SD card will take long as fuarrrk

See if it have USB3 to sata
Plus, I think flash drives more reliable than small SD cards
