I heard if Catalonia gets independence from Spain, barça and espanyol will not be allowed to play in La liga. Can anyone confirm this ?

Its a topic under discussion. The spanish goverment say that if cat gains indepandance, they will havta be exempted from la liga... but the catalans are fighting for the right to still participate. Teams frm wales and wateva still get to participate in the premier league so y should they ban barca. Its also looking very positive atm for catalans to gain independance
