yup they actually make good TV's. But of course you need to buy the higher end models

these are for best picture quality
http://www.cnet.com/topics/tvs/best-tvs ... e-quality/

I'd still go for the Samsung PNF8500

Can't really say too much about the picture quality but someone I know recently purchased a high end model with good specs and wasn't too impressed with the picture quality. I personally have an older model Samsung LED TV (the EH model) that had somewhat similar specs to the Vizio and thought that the picture quality in the Samsung was better in terms of the contrast ratio. The blacks And whites showed deeper and brighter etc. just my opinion..not too sure if it had anything to do with the settings on the Vizio

Morpheus, I saw a link on fb indicating that Vizio is now producing 4K tvs at extremely low prices in comparison to their competitors. Check the model in the following link, prices starting at $1000usd for a 50inch. Reviews stated that next to a Samsung F8500 series the picture quality was just as good. May be something to look into.

for ht use, definitely makes sense for good lfe. you would need another amp with more power, look at crown and behringer for cheap power.if using multiple subs your receiver should have a sub out and you should look at a mini dsp to properly integrate them or try ypao first.
If your avr only has one Subwoofer pre-out (sometimes labeled Sub Out or LFE out, just use an RCA Y-Adapter and use it to send two parallel signals to two separate subwoofers.

Lol...understood. It's a good jump budget wise and you won't need to upgrade any time soon with all this new 4k tech coming out.

Circuit Zone had a contact for someone who did AVR repairs. You may have to buy used parts on ebay to fix it since that model is now discontinued by Denon

There is a software reboot to try first
But
Hope u comfortable doing testing and a bit of soldering on ur reciever
It was a fail bias on a transistor on the power stage.
The one I had would come on but after 5/10 min would sound like it was loosing reception on the radio then red blinking light and shut down

Awaiting my new denon x3000 and a curve screen for my Epson 3d beast

I havent tried resetting the processor yet but from what im seeing i doubt it would work.
I could try my hand at repairing it myself but time is an issue so if i could outsource the repair that would be preferrable.

Buy a plate amp from parts express and tune you enclosure as low as the driver will support. Remember no " cabin gain" in home theater.

the house amp will be the better bet for the treo's but will obviously be costly

whats the FS on those treo's?
is enclosure space you studying?

unless he is going really low power, the price of a 500w plate and above is about the same or more expensive than a 1000w xls or i nuke

and if he is running a pair of subs, he will need atleast 500x2 which is easily attainable and more cost effective by using a house/dj amp

Pablo---were the treos rebuilt using original kits? or re-wrap biz?

That's what I was seeing the plate amps 500-600w I need will be more expensive that a house amp,
The treos were rebuilt by KP in Arima, he said he used all original which is hard to find but costly, but KP does amazing work.
I looking at a sealed enclosure as it rated at 1.1cuft (car)but still reading on who done it already for the best possible design.
