Never thought I'd see speakers with rivets :?
Just wanted to check the back of the speaker for the power rating.

I know some factory speakers come as 20w.
Studying to put my JBL 50x2 on the stock system for now. (25w/speaker)

20 sounds about right because my stock clarions say 40 watts max.

Remember is only so much they can take and do in a leaky door made of weak metal. I'd go easy on them with the jbl until I get a little dampening in there. Dampen and make the stock speakers work for now until you ready to upgrade.

Drop some damplifer pro in there man, the good stuff.

Will dampen in a timing.
Not looking to kill the speakers, just want that little extra oomph out of them.
Good thing is that it looks like it has enough space in the dash behind the deck for me to put the amp :)

Not so worried about theft, more about ease of install. I'll see what makes more sense when I'm hooking up.
Whoever installed the previous headunit made all my installs look like I just randomly throw wires anywhere. Very professionally done. And there's so much space behind the dash. The car is also generally very easy to pull apart.

Where did you get that amp?

Have it so many years now. Don't think I'll ever sell it.

why not use a pair or 2 of those faital pro 6" that everyone seems to be running down

so put 2 pairs of that in the back dash, comps up front and just use the rear/front fader off the deck to activate them when you want

Good system. Doing a similar setup.
Same image ctx 3 10" sealed. Or one of the id15 sealed on a alpine mono. 500 rms @ 2 ohm.

Going with morel comps on the front. And a pair of coaxial on the rear with deck power. It can be powered on and off with the deck.
