lol @ buggy stock roms.

the best battery performance i got so far on the N5 is with stock rom and kernel (4.4.4)

franco kernel when on 4.4.2 (kinda hard to tell though)

i left Xposed a while now.....it bothered me for more than a week :( waiting till they are compatible with ART

N5 hardly have any tweaks at the moment....gonna put android L on saturday and leave it for a week....

thing is, although stock roms don't have that much bugs, the bugs that are there can be quite annoying. for example, my phone's stock rom has poor network performance, as the network-based location doesn't work, and on 2g/3g mode it doesn't auto connect to a low strength 2g network. CM11 has neither of those bugs

Umm..network is controlled by the modem driver software installed, not the ROM. Cm11 probably came with a different modem to what stock had, hence your result. Different modem softwares work differently in different regions and with different carriers.

stev. lemme know how stable L is. But i rel missing my settings in gravity box though. The custom quick settings, quiet hours and the persistent notification damper settings.

Been using L since the first day when I did a video review of it...its extremely stable..only bugs I find was Dropbox kept crashing while Facebook comments had a transparent background. The Facebook problem was fixed with an update already and the Dropbox problem was a quick fix.

same modem file my friend... this particular ROM doesn't flash a new baseband as it relies on the baseband that is already there

Moto X/G Users... Any of you guys run CM11 on your phone? How does it compare to stock?

Thats true. on top of that, since kitkat, CM has actually gotten a little slower than stock
You notice any speed/performance difference between Dalvik + Xposed, vs ART?

Right now Im using a workaround to keep the phone on ART -
LMT Launcher for pie
Edited build.prop to remove soft keys
Nova Launcher to hide status bar.

Agreed. CM11 kinda crappy IMO. the most force closes I ever get with a ROM is CM11 on the N5.

Slight difference with smoothness of the UI. Not enough to warrant giving up xposed.
