AC line cutting and joining. wtk.

my ac line has a cut in it. the line which goes to the compressor, i want to know if it is safe to cut off the part with the slit and join it back with hose screw clips. will it hold good?

ac lines run under pressure ........cut it clean an weld it back (aluminum welding) take it to a ac shop.................hose clips will never work sorry

Is it d aluminum line or hose ......u could put a line splice if it is aluminum ........and d rubber hose I know ppl have joined them and it worked

another alternative is to buy a new line from those Ac places and have them bend it in the shape of the old one...and install...dont forget the "O" rings

if its the rubber line, you can cut it and splice an appropriate aluminum barb and use hose clips to tighten, get a good quality hose clip though, you can also put two on each side of the barb
any auto a/c shop should sell the barb

if its the actual aluminum line, well you'll need to take it to an a/c shop for them to fix that...
