Never used anything besides Lexar. Never compared. Never had a card go bad in 6 years.

Shutter speed 1/400; I was doing this hand held, so I picked something quick because I knew I had to crop and didn't wanna see it blurry.

ISO 800
F5.6

Also took this:

Shutter 10s
F 3.5
ISO 100
18mm

I did this one on manual focus.

Anyone know where I can get a 35mm or 50mm 1.8 for the D7100, locally? New or used?

 I'm partial to green.

During hikes you see some sweet stuff that just leave you saying "I wish I had my camera!" and thanks to phototakeouters like Mishi and Crossdrilled I realized my phone camera (Nexus 5) was half decent and worth capturing moments with

The forget the 35mm. go 50. The 35mm is the best lens I have that I don't use.

Looking to buy one. Roger Seepersad (AKA Richie90210 AKA RVphoto) loaned me this as I was in a jam for a fast tele for Ralph Maraj's series of plays. I don't miss autofocus at all... Metering.... trial and error sucks. There are quality issues with fringing and chromatic aberration that does not go away even at f/8, but when you actually nail focus, it is razor sharp. a slightly out of focus shot I got while practising focus on the hardest thing to photograph in the world... a kid jacked up on ice cream.

Haha, yeah I know, I almost exclusively shoot with the other 2 E series mf lenses he got off ebay, the 50 pancake and 70-210E. What I find works well in focusing fast is opening both eyes while one is at the viewfinder and focusing until your vf eye sorts of clears in conjunction with the other lol. Kind of hard to explain but it works well if you get the hang of it. Turning on the range finder also does wonders for finding focus fast. Exposure gets like second nature after shooting with mf lenses. That 135 has a bit of fungus growth inside but it barely affects the photos.

Mr. Maraj paid commercial rates for use in all forms of press and media. No credit needed.
