Where you got the quote? I'm looking for a red...

was prowling online for farms that ship the exotics...as posted above, they are protected & can really only be legally obtained from registered farms...
it's best if u chk online & confirm references/track records...

Tuners need your advice or does anyone have a similar experience ...here it goes . Got into discus about a year and a half ago. I have about 30 in total in 3- 4" tanks . I bought roughly half from a local breeder and the other half from the pet shop that used to be in grand bazaar . I bought the ones from the local breeder first and the others from the pet shop 3 months later at half the size of the breeder's . They have all grown at a good pace (doing twice weekly water changes ) and I think they are mature discus now . Here's where the problem starts only the discus I bought from the pet shop has paired off and I recently got my first offspring . The others have shown no sign of pairing . What do u all think of this ?

I doubt our agri dept will check if a particular fish is on international endangered list and ask for a microchip id.

the youtube videos of those fancy arowanas are very impressive,
them folks tan their arowanas with tanning lights.....

don't sell agri officials short...my former tutor (Phd in fish physiology) was called in to examine a shipment to confirm certain details & observations of said shipment.
call & confirm THE CORRECT PROCEDURE/REQUIREMENTS....please...

did u know fish CAN get sunburn/sunstroke ??
with the value of a first-quality arrowana, its no wonder breeders take no chances with their stock...

That's because you guys are a fish farm too bro. When I came by you I was very pleased to get the attention and patience. That's how come I bought all them fish. All the fish are very healthy by the way and doing well. Charran's on the other hand not so patient and friendly to the normal layman who just buyin two or three fish. The lady openly said that they really cater for wholesalers so I guess I don't blame them for the way they treat small men. They don't even have set business hours anyway. The lady son cool tho. He gave me some good deals when we dealt, but again, that's when I was lucky to find the farm open and got the attention from them.
