right so i got the amps, now unto IB subs...recommendations?

Postby altec » May 13th, 2014, 10:16 am

So I now have two JBL a1004 amps. That is roughly 100-150 watts per channel depending on voltage and ohms and a total of 8 channels. I am now investiquiring into infinite baffle sub setup. Are there any 12 or 15 inch subs available in TT that are priced for cheap that can do IB? Pyle subs are favorably mentioned on DIYMA as good performers. If this doesn't pan out I can always fall back on sealed box with jl or idq etc.

Hybrid Audio Clarus subs are well suited for IB.

If cheap is the word, Pyle for it.

Read of the ID max being used for IB too.

Besides those and what nigel mention there I dont think you have much choices.

There is an Fi audio sub but good luck finding those here.

Fi IB , do it. Oh you can sift through some infinity/ jbl stuff, alot of their lower lines tend to do well in horns and IB, generally something with a qts reaching 0.6/7 and would model to give you a decent qtc value given the space you have.
