CompUSA and TigerDirect are more or less the same- they are both owned by Systemax, Inc.

Systemax, Inc. also bought out Circuit City

Tiger Direct accepts T&T credit cards

I receiving Newegg e-mails every morning for years now. Even though I can't buy from them, I enjoy watching the ads and seeing the items.

Now all I need is some money...

I got a verification email about 24 hrs later stating that the transaction was successful. I do have my skybox address as a secondary address on my credit card. With regards to the IP, I am using usvideo.org to make my IP but I don't think that will mask for sites like newegg.com

tigerdirect.com also accepted payment from a TT credit card, though they called me from 888-999-8800 to verify on the phone.

in short: it seems newegg is accepting TT credit cards!

Add your skybox mailing address as an authorized billing address for your credit card. Worked for me.

As I mentioned 2 years ago, they just want to check if the address listed is an authorized billing address on the credit card.

Interesting, I used to order from many sites years ago, but never newegg.

I knew paypal didn't accept TT cards

paypal accepts all credit cards, but certain individual sites only accept payments from paypal accounts that are linked to a US bank account or US credit card

as far as I know paypal ALWAYS accepted T&T credit cards.
Paypal doesn't allow T&T paypal accounts to receive payments though.

[EDIT: As of May 2011 PayPal now allows T&T users to receive funds to their PayPal accounts but you need a T&T issued VISA credit card to verify and withdraw the funds with]

with regards to paypal and newegg:
If your paypal account has a T&T address, newegg seems to want to ship to that address only.
I couldnt find a way to enter another address to ship to - which is why I used the credit card and not paypal to buy from newegg.

Some merchants you can just add any address and it'll ship, some merchants just don't accept cards issued outside of the US. Also sometimes the merchant contacts the bank to verify the billing address and if you don't have it on the bank's file you will get declined

Anybody ever figure out how to order without using PayPal? Websource told me to he the bank to add the skybox as a second billing address but scotiabank told me they don't do that anymore.
Does any other local bank do this still or is there another method or site to order stuff online other than the a_z store.

I order without Paypal all the time, using just my CC (knocks on wood). CCs from different banks also, skybox address not added on any either. A remember having this issue a long time ago but has been working without issue for a few years.

Can I get a Lil more info. When you checking out on the billing address page, what do you enter if it only gives option for us addresses only. Scotia frustrating me recently, getting double billed with PayPal and have to get transaction verification to get the second charge removed, steering clear of amazon ordered 3 times last year and recieved a totally different item, bh working good for the while trying to figure out how to buy from some others as well.
