In the first episode, Ociffer Lance is giving someone a ticket for speeding in an alley? Just so he could conveniently be in the same spot the Vigilante strings up the copy cats?

Second episode at the end, did Laurel have the police waiting outside indefinitely? How did she know he would show up when he did?

There are many MANY others.

Don't get me wrong, it makes for an entertaining watch most times (courtesy Ms Smoak :) )but their writing/continuity/plausibility seriously sucks.

It's as if they are not aware that they can make a superhero type show while still making the audience believe most of it can actually happen.

Season Finale of Arrow 2×23 - Unthinkable - (Wednesday 14th May 2014)

We picked up at the clock tower - 2×22 Streets of Fire - where Team Arrow was waiting for Roy to wake up when Slade’s goons arrived to kill everyone. Just in time, Roy woke up — the cure worked! — and the team escaped before a helicopter showed up and blew up the tower. And who was the person behind that? Lyla, of course! Diggle’s woman was all business.

At Arrow headquarters, Sara showed up with Nyssa and an army of assassins. Too bad assassins were the last thing Ollie wanted. They filled injection arrows with the cure, and Ollie put out a strict no-kill policy. Sara convinced him to fight with Nyssa, and assured him there wouldn’t be a cost. Well, there would be, but Sara had already paid it: She’d agreed to go back to the League.

But before they set out to find Slade at Queen Consolidated, Ollie had a present for Roy: A red mask all his own. And that’s when Roy called to check on Thea.

Speaking of the youngest Queen, it turned out that she had shot Malcolm. Only he was wearing a vest, and for some reason, decided the fact that she pulled the trigger made him like her more. He told her that Tommy had pointed a gun at him a year earlier, only he lacked the conviction to pull the trigger. But Thea was made of iron, which meant she was truly his daughter. Talk about twisted, right? Needless to say she practically ran to Roy’s place when she got his call.

Once there, Roy apologized for everything he’d done and promised Thea he didn’t know anything about the Arrow — lies! — before agreeing to leave town with her. But first, he had to do one last thing. “When I get back, we’re getting out of here forever. I love you,” he told her. And for a minute, I was really afraid those would be his last words. What can I say? Finales make me very paranoid.

Image

At Queen Consolidated, Arrow’s army was curing soldiers left and right. Slade, however, managed to jump out a window before being cured — was his mask red and black or was that the lighting? But poor Isabel was caught by Nyssa and Sara. Ollie tried to keep them from killing her, but Isabel clearly hadn’t learned when to shut up. Nyssa snapped her neck.

Image

With a drone heading for the city, Ollie had a bigger problem: Slade had taken Laurel.

Image

In that moment, Quentin tried to convince the Arrow to kill again, but Felicity wouldn’t let that happen. She simply informed Ollie he had to make Slade out-think him. And that’s where the plan was hatched.
Before I knew it, Ollie was dropping Felicity off at the Queen mansion and telling her to stay there until it was all over. He needed her to be safe. As he put it, “Slade took Laurel because he wants to kill the woman I love … so he took the wrong woman … I love you. Do you understand?” I thought the “Do you understand?” part was weird, but I didn’t care. This was where I screamed so loudly that I would not be surprised if I got a note from my landlord tomorrow. I totally bought into it, and I went on and on about how I wasn’t sure if the show would ever go there and how happy I was. Spoiler: It was all faked. It was nothing more than part of the plan.

Remember back when Slade planted cameras in Ollie’s home? Well, Ollie knew about them. So he used that to his advantage. When he asked Felicity if she understood, he placed a needle filled with the cure in her hand. So when Slade later kidnapped Felicity, she was able to inject him herself. So as mad as I am that the moment was faked, at least Felicity got in on the action!

Image

But don’t let me forget to mention the amazing fight scene in the tunnel. Slade’s men were attempting to get out of town before the drone strike, and they took out Amanda’s entire army to do so. Only they had another army to worry about: Arrow’s army. And Team Arrow would come out on top!

Meanwhile, Diggle, Lyla, and Deadshot had Amanda Waller at gunpoint. They told her to stop the drone strike. Her rebuttal? Diggle is going to be a father. Lyla is pregnant!

Image

And in epic fight scene number two, we got a glimpse at the Slade-Ollie showdown from years earlier on the freighter. After the missile hit the boat, it started to sink, which was the second time Ollie lost Sara as once again, she was sucked out to sea. And with the cure in one hand and an arrow in another, Ollie decided to kill Slade by sticking the arrow through his eye. For some reason, I always assumed the arrow had been shot through his eye, and this just seemed extra gruesome.

That fight was intercut with Ollie and Slade’s present-day showdown, which was just as impressive. Ollie came out on top when he used his arrows to tie Slade to a pole, after which he got Amanda to call of the drones. And suddenly, Arrow had saved the city.

In the Slade aftermath, Roy returned home to find a letter from Thea. She said she could no longer be Thea Queen, and she also couldn’t trust him — or anyone — anymore. The old Thea Queen was weak, and she was going to be strong. And as she got in a limo with Merlyn, her voice-over said she was never coming back.

Keeping with the theme of goodbyes, Sara was headed back to the League. She was deciding her own fate for the first time in her life. She told Laurel that Oliver needed her and then handed over her leather jacket. It fit. Passing the Canary duties, are we? Well, Quentin didn’t want Laurel to get any ideas. But that was before he collapsed. He’d suffered some sort of blunt force trauma during a fight with a Mirakuru soldier, and now he was coughing up blood. Laurel called for an ambulance, but it doesn’t look good.

As for Ollie, he was saying goodbye to Slade, who was in an A.R.G.U.S. prison. More specifically, he was in purgatory, underground and back on the island. Ollie thanked Slade for helping him become a hero. And then he left Slade behind as Slade yelled about keeping promises and whatnot.

Walking on the beach, Ollie, Felicity, and Diggle made a plan: First, Ollie needed to get his company back, which meant he’d need to get a job. Sadly, no one knew of anyone hiring “ex-billionaires with superior archery skills.” Diggle then gave the two of them a moment.

Felicity reminisced about Ollie’s great plan to fight the unthinkable by doing the unthinkable. That of course meant that the two of them being together had been “unthinkable.” But she told him that he’d had her fooled when he said he loved her. She thought maybe he might’ve meant it. He really sold it. And with a grin on his face that, to me, means he loves her, he responded, “We both did.”

Regardless, Ollie got ready to fly them all home when Felicity asked where he learned to fly. Well, it wasn’t on the island. Suddenly we jumped back to Ollie waking up for what I assumed was the first time since fighting Slade. Once awake, he was escorted outside to be introduced to Amanda Waller. He was in Hong Kong.

Possibly Season 3 for Arrow in October 2014..???

http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/675622- ... iere-date/

Arrow on The CW has been renewed for a season 3 and some hints have been given lately on what to expect next for the character and the show.

Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg recently said that the next season will include a shift in the group, based on Laurel.

“t totally changes everyone’s dynamic, having Laurel in on the secret. She has become so much more. Look, I don’t think it’s any big surprise that we’re struggled in places with Laurel as a character — through no fault of Katie Cassidy, who plays her wonderfully and does everything we ask of her — but ever since she found out, it’s just changed the dynamic, and it’s made the show a lot more fun and enjoyable to write,” he told IGN.

“So her storyline in the finale is much closer tied to her father and Sarah. But especially going into Season 3, there’s a much more different dynamic in the group. It’s really fun to see.”

He also noted that the season will deal with the characters all facing decisions on what their respective destinies will be. “Each and every one of them over the course of next season will be making that journey. For some people it’s a dark journey. For other people it’s a lighter journey. For some people it’s becoming their comic book characters. In other cases, it’s actually definitively not.”

Kreisberg added to Collider that season 3 is going to start out with Oliver “in very different circumstances than he’s been before.”

“Obviously, him being in different circumstances changes the circumstances of his paid bodyguard and paid assistant, since he can no longer pay them. For Season 3, you’ll see that some of our familiar standing sets from Season 1 and 2, that you’ve come to know and love as being Arrow, are gonna be retired for reasons that will become apparent, as you see these last episodes,” he said.

“We have already seen designs for some of the new sets for Season 3, which are amazing. We want the show to feel like it’s constantly evolving, changing and growing. If this year is the sequel, then next year is Arrow 3. As different as 2 is from 1, in 3, they got Ewoks.”

Kreisberg previously made several references to the next season in an interview with E! News. He said that the situation where Oliver fathered a child with a woman who was later paid off by Moira will be revisited in season 3. He also said that Moira’s death will continue to have an impact.

“Her death has a profound impact on everyone in the series,” he said. “It’s certainly is what’s going to drive Oliver in these last three episodes and it’s going to drive Thea, not only in these last three episodes but also into series 3.”

As for the premiere date, the first two seasons premiered right next to each other–October 10, 2012; and October 9, 2013. It’s safe to say at this point that the premiere for season 3 won’t be too far from this time frame

The CW Officially Greenlights The Flash to Series

To the surprise of no one, the CW has announced that The Flash, which is, of course, a spin-off of Arrow, will be the top CW pick-up for the upcoming 2014-2015 broadcast season. Apparently, the CW executives liked what they saw when they saw the pilot, which has not been broadcast yet. Thankfully, the Arrow/ The Flash producers did not air it as a backdoor pilot like the Supernatural producers when they tried for a The Originals-like success with a a similar backdoor pilot, which the audience reacted negatively to. The CW passed on the Supernatural spin-off today.

Next week, we will find out if the CW will put Arrow and the The Flash together on the same night, which wouldn’t be a bad idea

The Flash

Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fanboy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.

Barry has spent his life trying to clear his father of the murder of his mother, he hints that there was more going on than the police understood...including a mysterious tornado

Barry makes his first appearance in the Arrow season two episode "The Scientist" as a CSI from Central City who has come to Starling City to investigate a possible super being that he claims may have connections to a case in Central City.

He meets with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) after Queen Consolidated is burgled. Barry and Oliver's confidante, computer science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) have an immediate rapport, but Oliver, who is the secret identity of the vigilante known as "Arrow", is suspicious of Barry.

Barry reveals that he is attempting to find a super-powered being who killed his mother when he was a child, leading to his father's wrongful imprisonment. Barry is ordered back to Central City, but is instead brought to Oliver's hideout by Felicity and John Diggle (David Ramsey) after Oliver is accidentally injured and poisoned.

In the following episode, "Three Ghosts", Barry saves Oliver's life, and continues to assist Felicity with tracking down Cyrus Gold (Graham Shiels), a test subject of Sebastian Blood (Kevin Alejandro). He returns to Central City, leaving behind a custom-made domino mask for Oliver as a better way of concealing his identity.

Having returned to Central City, he is caught in a chemical explosion at a lab caused by a combination of a lightning strike and the explosion of the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator across town. In "Blast Radius", it is revealed that Barry was left in a coma following the lab accident.

In "The Man Under the Hood", Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon are seen taking inventory at the Starling City facility of S.T.A.R. Labs due to Harrison Wells shutting it down, when Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) arrives to acquire a bio-transfuser.

It is revealed that Barry has been under Caitlin and Cisco's watch at S.T.A.R. Labs when his condition worsened, and they later help Felicity create an antidote for the Mirakuru drug.

Later, Lyla reveals Digger was part of the Suicide Squad, and Oliver agrees to allow Barry to assist in the investigation. Oliver's interrogation tactics lead Barry to question how emotionally stable Oliver is.

The team track Digger's location, but it turns out to be a ruse that allows Digger to trace their hideout, where he wounds Lyla before being forced to run away. In order to escape, Digger plants 5 bombs around the city.

While Oliver captures Digger, Barry uses both his and Oliver's teams to defuse the bombs at the same time.

Flashbacks to Hong Kong show Oliver learning how to torture suspects effectively to get information.

9."The Climb" - December 10, 2014

The League of Assassins inform Oliver that he has 48 hours to find and turn over Sara's killer or the league will begin murdering Starling City citizens. Oliver also learns Maseo is now a member of the League.

Realizing that she has been lying, Arrow confronts Thea, who demonstrates her training with Malcolm, before escaping from the Arrow.

Later, Malcolm informs Oliver that he drugged Thea and manipulated her into killing Sara. Malcolm filmed the event to use as leverage to force Oliver into a fight to the death with Ra's al Ghul, with Ra's potential death releasing Malcolm from any blood debt to the League.

Season 3 Episode 15 - "Nanda Parbat"

Synopsis

At Nanda Parbat, Nyssa reports to her father that Oliver Queen is alive. Ra’s al Ghul replies that he already knows, and that Ollie is in Starling City. He also knows that Oliver didn’t kill Sara.

In the Foundry, Ollie and Thea both train with Malcolm, who keeps winning as they spar. Malcolm points out that Ollie trained with a bow and arrow but that this will be a sword fight. He also stresses that they work in unison. Thea is not thrilled with the arrangement, but knows she and Ollie need Malcolm.

Diggle arrives to explain that Thea’s closed Verdant, and borrow security from Argus is keeping them safe. Malcolm called him John. Diggle responds that his friends call him Dig, but Malcolm shouldn’t even talk to him. Malcolm tries to convince Ollie that he and Thea should leave the loft, but Ollie refuses. Meanwhile, Laurel tries to talk to Thea about how Malcolm’s fighting style reminds her of Sara. Thea is clearly uncomfortable not telling Laurel what she knows about Sara’s death.

Ollie continues to practice with his sword. Dig wants to ask him a favor, but decides to wait once he realized that Ollie isn’t sleeping. Ollie says he’ll sleep once it’s all over.

Flashback. Ollie is being given a polygraph by a solider. He is excused by General Shrieve, who has claimed army jurisdiction, removing Amanda Waller and Argus. He allows Ollie to return to Japan with Maseo and family. From there, Ollie can go anywhere he wants. Even home to Starling City. Ollie and the General shake hands.

Roy finds Thea sitting in the empty club. She admits to having killed Sara. Roy answers that he knows and tells Thea about how he killed the police officer. He promises that it gets easier. Thea answers that Roy doesn’t have to see that cop’s family every day like she does, she doesn’t believe it will get better.

Ray Palmer is working on the ATOM suit in his home office. Felicity shows up, wanting to make sure he is alive. No one at Palmer Tech has seen Ray in a week. Ray is clearly exhausted, and Felicity has to stop him from using a tool that would explode the entire building. She calls him out on not sleeping. He says that he started working on the suit because of how helpless he felt when he could not save Anna. After not being able to stop Brick during his recent attack, Ray became determined to finish the suit. He refuses to stop until he is done.

Laurel calls her father and leaves him a voicemail. Lance has not spoken to her in a week. Now that he knows about Sara, Laurel doesn’t think either of them should have to face it alone. Thea arrives then, unable to keep her secret from Laurel any longer. Thea explains how Malcolm drugged her and used her to kill Sara. Laurel doesn’t blame Thea. But she does call her out on knowing who Malcolm was and still welcoming him in. Laurel encourages Thea to make different choices.

Ollie is still training at the Foundry. Laurel comes in and says she can’t remember Sara’s smile. She makes a comment about not knowing who Sara’s killer is. Ollie lies, covering for Thea again. Laurel admits that she knows and is furious that Ollie is still lying to her. Ollie points out how Laurel has gone after every suspect, he was protecting Thea. Laurel is unforgiving. “It’s hard to remember a time when I was actually in love with you.”

Ollie goes to the loft, angry at Thea for telling Laurel. Ollie quotes Malcolm’s earlier comment about being in unison and reminds Thea how useful her father is. Thea tells Ollie that they aren’t in danger anymore. And Malcolm is going to get justice.

Malcolm walks through the streets at night. He hears someone behind him, and knows it is not anyone from the League. Laurel shows, in full Black Canary gear. She attacks, but Malcolm deflects her easily. Until Laurel pulls a gun on him. Before she can shoot, Nyssa and several other members of the League arrive. One of them holds a knife to Laurel’s throat to hold her back while Malcolm and Nyssa fight. He is defeated, and captured. Nyssa tells Laurel that Sara’s murder is avenged.

In the Foundry, Ollie confronts Laurel. He also tells the rest of the gang that Thea traded Malcolm to the League of Assassins in exchange for her and Ollie’s safety. The others are worried that Malcolm will show Ra’s the tape of Thea committing the murder, but Ollie believes that Malcolm loves Thea and won’t sacrifice her. Ollie wants to rescue Malcolm, which both Laurel and Felicity are very against. Ollie convinces Felicity that he is doing this for Thea’s benefit, and she agrees to help. Laurel still argues, so Ollie throws her out of the Foundry. Meanwhile, Felicity finds a clue and sends Ollie to the airfield.

Flashback. Maseo, Tatsu, and Ollie are greeted by Aiko, who invites Ollie to stay with his family forever. Ollie offers to send for them with his family’s private plane so they can visit him in America. Tatsu is impressed that Ollie’s family has their own plane. They walk along the docks, when Maseo notices something about some of the dockworkers. He pulls his gun and shoots some of the workers.

Nyssa and fellow League members escort a chained Malcolm to a helicopter. Arrow shows up and begins to fight Nyssa. Malcolm manages to fend off the others at first, but they eventually managed to force him onto the copter. Arrow manages to capture Nyssa, telling her that this isn’t justice, its vengeance. But he is unable to stop the helicopter.

Nyssa is caged in the Foundry, where she meditates. Ollie knows that Ra’s will not trade Malcolm for Nyssa, but she is still useful. Laurel is disgusted by the idea of keeping a prisoner, and believes Ollie is planning to torture Nyssa to find Nanda Parbat. Diggle gets everyone to clear the room, but before leaving himself, Dig tells Ollie that he can’t save Thea’s soul at the cost of his own. Alone with Nyssa, Ollie does not torture her. Nyssa is happy to tell him where to go. Because she knows he will die there.

Roy is impressed by the Argus security in Verdant. Laurel is still horrified by the idea of taking prisoners. Ollie joins them, he knows where to go. Roy points out that Ollie dying is just as bad for Thea as her being responsible for Malcolm’s death. One by one, everyone but Diggle tries to stop Ollie. Finally, Ollie asks Diggle what he thinks, and Diggle again asks everyone to leave him alone with Ollie. Dig thinks there is more going on than just Ollie trying to save Thea’s soul. Ollie denies it.

Ray finds himself unable to sign into the Palmer Tech server. Felicity has shown up at his home again. She reset the password. She offers Ray a choice. Either he can crack her password, which should take him over six hours. Or he eats, showers, and sleeps for five hours, at which time she will give him the password, which she has written down. Ray agrees to take care of himself.

At home, Dig plays with baby Sara. Lyla emerges from the shower and wants to know if Dig asked Ollie for the favor. Dig admits he didn’t and tells Lyla what Ollie has planned. Lyla is horrified that Ollie is going to Nanda Parbat, and wants to know if Dig is going too. He says no, but she encourages him to go with Ollie. Lyla knows Dig blamed himself for not being there for Ollie last time and doesn’t want him to go through that again. Dig asks to borrow the Argus jet.

In the club, Thea confronts Ollie. Ollie explains that he can’t put her through the same thing he suffers, being responsible for both Robert and Moira’s deaths. Thea begs him to stay, but Ollie walks out.

In the alley by the club, Ollie sees Dig. Diggle offers to go and points out that Ollie needs him, no longer having his own private plane.

Malcolm is chained again, and dragged before Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s talks about an illusionist he knew centuries ago. “A magician can cheat many things, but one.” Malcolm is clearly terrified and begs for his life. He offers to serve as Ra’s horseman again. His pleas fall on deaf ears.

Felicity examines Ray’s very impressive art collection while he showers. Ray emerges in just a towel. Felicity can’t look at him. Ray tells Felicity that she doesn’t need to blackmail him. He trusts her judgment. Felicity reminds Ray that he is naked. He admits that when he is with Felicity, he forgets they work together. They kiss. She apologizes, but he kisses her again.

Outside at Nanda Parbat, Ollie explains to Dig that their only chance is to try and surprise the League. This thought is interrupted by several flaming arrows being shot at them. Dig asks for a new plan. Ollie answers “Shoot straighter than they do!” Ollie and Dig shoot most of the guard, but one actually dodges an arrow and runs inside. Ollie and Dig give chase.

Flashback. From where he has found cover, Ollie uses a mirror to try and find the men shooting at him and the Yamashiros. Maseo recognizes them as Argus and they realize that Waller was not happy about being cast aside by the military. Ollie points out a delivery truck and provides cover so that Maseo and his family can try to get to it.

Laurel gives a mug of something to the caged Nyssa. Laurel is surprised that she isn’t happier about Malcolm going to his death. Hating him let her hold onto a piece of Sara. She asks Nyssa if she remembers Sara’s laugh. Nyssa tells Laurel that when Sara was first brought to Ra’sm, he put on a display designed to frighten her. And Sara just laughed. That’s the moment Nyssa fell in love. She wanted to hear Sara laugh again. Laurel thanks Nyssa.

Ollie and Dig catch up to the man they were chasing him. They take out several members of the League. Dig isn’t sure how they will find Malcolm in such a large place. Ollie pulls out his phone, says he can track the nanites he put in Malcolm four months ago.

They find Malcolm badly beaten, and chained over hot coals. Malcolm manages to tell them one word. “Trap.” A gate closes them into the room.

Ollie wakes from unconsciousness to find himself and Diggle chained in a separate room from Malcolm. Ollie finally admits that coming here was about more than saving Thea’s soul. He’s been haunted by the fall. He can’t stand having been beaten. Ra’s gotten into his head. Dig comforts Ollie. Ollie remembers that Dig wanted to ask him a favor, and asks what it was, assuming they aren’t actually about to die. Dig talks about losing Andy. “When I lost my brother, I never thought I’d get another one.” He asks Ollie to be his best man at his wedding. Ollie accepts.

Flashback. As they try to make it to the truck, Aiko gets separated from his parents and hides with Ollie. Maseo and Tatsu beg Ollie to save their son, and Ollie picks Aiko up and starts to run.

Roy and Thea sit in his car. He wants to show her what he does when he feels bad. They watch a woman and child get out of their car to go into their house. Thea doesn’t understand why Roy is stalking a strange family, then she realizes that this is the widow and child of the cop he killed. Roy has been anonymously giving them money, groceries, even toys. It makes him feel better, helps with the guilt. Thea is still no better. She blames herself for letting Malcolm in, knowing he was a killer. She’s afraid that means she’s one too.

Ray and Felicity sleep in each other’s arm. Ray wake, suddenly inspired. He gets up and looks at what the password Felicity gave him. (It’s password.) Ray dresses in the ATOM suit for the first time, and begins to fly around the city. Felicity sleeps through all of it.

Thea goes to Nyssa. She says that Malcolm put things in motion, but confesses to being the one who actually shot Sara with the arrows. Thea opens the cage door and gives Nyssa her sword.

Ollie is brought before Ra’s, who points his sword at Ollie. Ollie begs only for Diggle’s life. Ra’s admits to being impressed by Ollie. He doesn’t want to kill him. Ra’s wants Oliver to take his place at the head of the League.

OK this show really hit a major speedbump, with Ollie wussing out while being a major pr!ck to his friends. The whole LOA thing was getting kinda drawn out too.

Last episode though... where they take a break from Thea and she daddy issues and bring in The Atom.. was actually kinda good.

All the thinly veiled Superman references fired at Brandon Routh was actually kinda funny.
Digs remind everybody why nothing good could ever come from working with yuh wife.

But a billionaire genius who build a flying weaponised suit with all kinda tech in it! Wow!! What a concept!!! Never seen anything like that before!! #sarcasm

Commentary:

It just wouldn’t be an Arrow season finale without at least three huge twists and a cliffhanger, and the final episode of Season 3 certainly delivered on all fronts.

After Oliver defeated Ra’s al Ghul and decided to retire from being the Arrow in favor of a shot at happiness with Felicity, Malcolm Merlyn came to say goodbye — but more than words were exchanged.

Oliver slipped the Dark Archer a very important ring, and the end of the episode confirmed what it meant: Malcolm is now Ra’s al Ghul on Arrow.

Sure, it’s preferable to Oliver being forced into the job, but Malcolm ascending to this very powerful position spells trouble for Team Arrow in Season 4 — especially since Oliver apparently won’t be there to lead them

Who woulda be a better Ra's? Nyssa or Malcolm?

Ollie probably figure Malcolm could still be reasoned with to an extent, and it seem like Nyssa 'bonding' with Laurel, probably hoping she could be trained in the art of tongue fu like her sister.
