Ooh, the water was REALLY rough higher up. Stirred up the sand to the point of everything being brown and a high tide to boot. Things calmed down when I was leaving around 5. Thank god for those sputniks that mankees sells otherwise would have been unfishable. Planning to head back on good friday hopefully.

Ive also caught them on crystal minnows before in shallow rocky areas, especially around points during tide changes is when they really turn on
They also take small poppers....

I fish in the gulf today, water was real real choppy, breeze was hard all day. Me and a next man only hold 7 walliack and 2 salmon. The biggest walliack had some size though, almost 4 pounds, took a line that was fishing by itself with a slab of herring on a big hook.

When we came back to the Felicity marina we realize other men catch their rass too, one other boat went deep in the Gulf to bank and only held 1 lucky carite as the line and bait was sinking. Another boat went by the Caroni river to catch grantekai and came back empty handed.

Was a bit disappointed... There were so much people there and the only way to see them glowing is if there was movement in the water... A couple of locals was asking for ah $10 each to JUMP OFF the bridge.... Only then will you see the glowing plankton... And while they were swimming you would see them glowing a light green-ish color...

Tried to take pics from the bridge but it was impossible to get the shot... Guy even brought his Cannon HD cam and had no luck getting the shot as well... You would have to go see it for yourself... It rel decent... By 10:30PM everyone by the Mafikin bridge left and place was calm.... Youth men and them make a good change yes cuz people actually paid them to jump...

Saw this a couple months ago while passing through a river in central... Was blue in color. Around the propeller looked like neon lights.

Hyperion wrote:Bought this Fin Nor this week, a Lethal 80 with 40lbs max drag. Hoping to try it out soon. I paid US 83 (TT535) for it but I can't understand how Customs charged me. They charged me $30 duty and $27 vat. They should have charged me vat only which would have been about $80, go figure.

Anybody does follow Alan Hawk reel reviews?

http://www.alanhawk.com/reviews/lists.html

This reel made his list of top reels under US $100, the Penn Battle too.

I used it last month, no big fish as yet, but the drag smooth like butter and it nice and light for the size.
