I've heard the theory that it's usually an "inside job".. meaning the bank tellers or managers or whomever, are the ones who tip off the bandits that a certain person just withdrew XYZ in cash, etc. maybe receiving a "cut" of the loot.

And seeing that it's mostly Republic Bank where these victims hold their accounts and transact these large sums of money, is it then safe to say RBL pays so low that their employees hadda supplement their salary?!

Well these banks always say these changes were mandated to them by the Central Bank.. Well esp the new rules for new accounts and certain transactions etc.

The no hat policy was instituted after they were robbed and the security cameras got no face shots because the bandit's faces were blocked by the hats.
The no cellphones came about due to the suspicion that people sit inside and monitor large withdrawals and inform their accomplices outside.
Like it or not they are both reasonable precautions based on our crime situation.
