sooo my JBL P1224 died :cry: sorta self dissembled and blew right after :|

was going to change out my audio later on this year but now im forced to do the changes

looking at the Crossfire C5 and the Earthquake Sound MAGMA12X.. i know i can get the crossfire from ryan but not sure where has the earthquake subs

note: sub will be playing on a audiocontrol epicenter

as im changing I will be getting 4 rockford fosgate PPS4-6 , some cdt tw-25 and the pioneer 7500BT dvd (head unit may change later on)

what i want to know the durability of the subs in handling the epicenter on a daily system

will say it was worth the $$ think i paid $1150 for it lasted about 4-5 years or so with level lix from epi daily

ok made up my mind going with the shok industries reference pro series sub 12D4
getting it from Team ADT next week wednesday

Much better... still in the breaking in phase. Didn't know I was missing so much notes with the jbl(still hugging she up tho). The shok have a how to say solid sound to it

Sub is pretty impressive. 0.o
I have to take a look at the specs and see what it says but sub digs low, hits deep, maintains a nice punch and did it with minimal excursion. WOW

If you want to make a comparison we will need to put subs of same size both in the same vehicle, recommended boxes, same power and play same songs off same settings.

As is, my LF is in a pickup on the floor where its at a disadvantage due to no cabin gain, in a sealed box and run off 350 watts. Sub has not seen any kind of major playtime to break in so I have not bumped the thread with the review.

Oh I see, haven't heard anything' about it so I asked, why not swap subs in his car if it's the same size?

Mine is a 10" SVC 4 ohm and that box is / was built for another 12".

Wayyy too big for my 10 and cant drill holes in a man box just so.

new box will be built soon or fiberglass corner of trunk

the loud force sounded good from the demo i got nice punch

still have the JBL by spec might sell that one if interested can check it by him and offer something

I think that JBL hard to find a recone for. Not sure.

Shok have some decent hard parts, might have considered buying it and keeping it.
