So I just got a pair of Gemini ES - 15 BLU's will be using my pc to be playing at limes with friends and family. Currently using my pc's stock sound card (Realtek High Definition Audio), would it make a noticeable difference if i upgraded my sound card to say one of these

http://sound-cards-review.toptenreviews.com/ ?

I am also looking for a small affordable mixer/turntable nothing to fancy any recommendations?

pyro you'll want a low latency sound card.. one that uses ASIO drivers.

I suggest the Numark DJ I/O. its cheap adn has rca outputs, 1/4 inch headphone outputs as well as 1/4 inch mic input.
pair that with the numark mixtrack and you good to go.

or you can use an all in one solution - the Numark Mixtrack pro - which has the sound card built in.

If anyone is interested in a Pionner DDJ-WEgo (white).

I've got one - barely used, brought Dec 27th 13, like brand new. Thinking about upgrading to a DDJ-SR.

PM me for any other details...

Allen and Heath GL2400 $10,000 WITH TWO FREE EFFECTS UNITS (Paid $3000 for these, and $17,000 for the mixer).

The mixer is like new, used only 7 times, and still in original cardboard box. $10,000 for the package is a steal....

Saw that truck on the road for carnival, cant remember which band, but nuff respect...the system sounded great. Very clean Spl, base response was clean and no distortion...Never been a fan of Bose as I thought they were over-rated in all applications, but I was astonished men would put out a truck with Bose speakers....overall as an amateur DJ and lover of all things loud....I was impressed ULTIMAS great build

Thanks Dutch, it was a major effort from our team to promote the Bose Professional division. Next year we'll tweak the design of the system to get the most out of it. The generator couldn't handle the full potential of the system but all of this will be rectify next year.

Funny you mention the Generator as I was wondering if it was under-driven Power wise...but then again I thought you guys were going for "clarity" over raw thumping base...and I did get "clean" sound from the truck.

I think I saw it it on Tragarete road and it was parked near to me for a while...so heard it uncluttered from bar noise and other trucks...so was really astonished at just that..."clarity".

Would love to hear it on full power next year.. What band was this with? and will be with next year? will definitely be listening out for this one!

I am getting into gigging, small functions, house parties and weddings and a cousin is renting his Bose PA system to me...so was even more impressed by this as I had never considered Bose for Digital DJ small system because of cost....

Didn't read through the entire thread cuz it's too much.
What is a good reasonable 4 way speaker management for a dj system?
Currently running DBX PA, but it seems to hold back on everything.
Noticed when I switched from the manual rane xover, comp limiter etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes i did say DBX PA. Tops are currently 2 way and will be switched to 3 way within the next few months.

We started our j'ouvert band in San Fernando then "Wild Mas" from Ian McKenzie in POS. A few bands approched us requesting to do a truck next year, so the future looks promising.

Yes. They are excellent for indoor use. Speakers are also very light, so setup is easy.
I've never used them outside, so I can't comment on that.

IMHO, the G2's sound better, but thats just me. The only thing the 515 have going for it, is the weight, as they are super light. But for price vs performance, the EV ELX115P wins all. A bit heavier than the 515xt, but waaay louder, cleaner, and can play equally well outside (I have 4). I have compared them to the RCF ART325 and the JBL 515xt, the EV'S won hands down. And would you believe the EV is ACTUALLY cheaper than the JBL??!!

I'd second it. Although I also favour the ZLX because of its price point.

SPYN is supposed to be one of them cheaper brands, but I dont have experience with them. The feedback on the streets rates them average.
