VR4 Galant VS Lexus RS200 Maintenance/Performance

Good day tuners. I'm currently in a bit of a predicament over my next choice of vehicle. The two options are:

Lexus RS200 (100k Neg): viewtopic.php?f=55&t=531212&p=7705058#p7705058
Mitsubishi VR4 (Original 6a13tt) (70k): viewtopic.php?f=55&t=552786&p=7744652#p7744652

Any information regarding availability of parts/reliability/personal experiences will be appreciated. Personally I will prefer the stick shift over paddle shifters any day but I'm willing to make that compromise if the Lexus trumps the VR4 in the criteria listed above. I've been hearing mixed reports with respect to suspension and engine parts availability for the VR4, anyone out there can verify this?

The lexus is listed in the luxury sedan group. Drive both and see. I think you will like the lexus. Plus there is always the jz factor :twisted:

True @luxury sedan. However this is the 3SGE version (210hp) and not the Jz. The tranny may pose a problem to handle any future bolt on turbo kits which are quite common with the 6fwd manual version :sad:

Vr4 all the way

Viewed both today. Vr4 is incredible, no doubt. EXCELLENT CONDITION and SEXY CAR. I can't emphasise that any more. Lexus was previously a show car. Run really well. It's in need of 4 new shocks soon, and the Odometer isn't working so I'm a bit skeptical. The vr4 turn off is the parts availability ;( that's the deciding factor now

the parts for the lexus arnt any better.
never saw a body part in any foreign used scrap yard so far.

personally id go with the vr4. once its a legit car, no conversion.
a vr4 is a beast in stock form. engines are very common now, suspension parts can be sourced and body parts are as well.

all a vr4 really needs is a single turbo conversion.
