I decided not to buy this one. This is one of the best and most complete rx2 re I have found locally that is for sale. BUT unfortunately it's gonna need a 30,000 body job to save it from the elements.

A friend of mine that restores old fords is gonna restore it as his garage/shop can handle the job and has the resources. He gave me first dibs on making an offer for it. But decided to let him restore as he will do a much better job.

Kinda regretting my decision. But I think this car needs to b done right to survive and I wouldn't be able to do as good a job as he will and I didn't want to buy it and then sell it to someone who will do a half ass job.

Honestly, if the car was just for sale by a random person I would have bought it and taken 5+ years to restore. But the fact that it was by his shop already and he wanted it if I didn't take it, has an engine and an entire body shop at his disposal, I had to let him have it. It was in the best interest of the car.

Had to share this link with you guys, sometimes I use to wonder if there were cars like these lying around in T and T, just never sold and parked somewhere! I guess if that was ever true, they would have been stripped and in a sorry condition now!
