Power them good but I think proper crossover points and equalization should make the difference not power :)

You can use the Orion XTR 600.2 two-channel amp. It produces 600W rms bridged at 4 ohms and will power those to eights perfectly. I have a new one for sale if you are interested for $1500.

check link below for specifications.

Been a while since i left the audio field, but if memory serves me right, they take something like 180watts rms, so a 600watt amp bridged at 4 ohms providing the full 600 watts rms leaves plenty of power headroom, the voice coils are rated flat 8ohm though.

You want to get as much power as possible, to do this you must bypass the amplifier completely

but dont hook it up directly to the battery, dais just dotish

those 18 sounds imo you don't need the world of power to get them loud and they maintain clean sound with little distortion depending on how you tune and regulate your volume levels.

i had a pair on 300watts and they played great.

Look at the sensitivity of the speaker...i think it's 100.5db the higher sensitivity the less power it needs to sound loud compared to a low sensitivity speaker.

no one asked this question....what model 8" are they....cause 18Sound has the 8m400 (250 rms), 8mb400(280 rms) and then it has the 8NM600 (400rms)

So before anyone can suggest an amp....what model are they?
