i used the 12amp version this year to cut 32 pieces of 3/4 corrugated steel that was jotting out too much
long story short, the 12 amp had some serious power!

depends what you planning to do.
If you want to do everything a router can do then get a proper setup.

Otherwise it is not hard to rig a little fence to do basic stuff.

I bought a book on making jigs for routers but still have not gotten around to it.

yeah I could but then I would have to use a angle grinder/ jigsaw/table saw to cut 4-6inch pvc in half, then band or tie them together around each tree

with this drain pipe i would just have to cut one slice and wrap it around the tree

im looking at the cost difference because if the corrugated is much more expensive then it would make sense using regular pvc.

you can get 4,6" guttering pvc which is already cut in half
guesstimating it would be around $10/ft for complete circle

will look into it

by chance anyone in here could recommend a good commercial weedwacker?

willing to spend about $6000

nice!!
tell us how it works when u put it to the test!

you can get a quote on the 6" pipe and do the cutting urself since u have the sawzall

you may also consider dropping some small hinges on a side so they swing open, it will surely save alot of time having to tie them together and do that all over again when moving them

Stihl or Echo. They are always top rated on any online comparisons and local users. I know farmers who swear by both, at the same time. Local support for both are also very good.

Just pick a model to suit your needs and budget.

1 foot protection around tree should be enough to protect from blade/wacker string?
