Local selection is quite good in my view... Their mix has been quite fine with some years being Afro -Trinis other years indo-Trinis and even Multi-racial women. Trinidad is a true melting pot by defination and we need to understand that Trinidad is not of Indian nor African backgound rather the caribbean culture (Trinidad) which is one that is very unique on its own ... True there are hotter women in all other parts in the world, I mean - I am currently in South Africa, I can probably find atleast 10 hotter girls (of all different races) than Miss Trinidad right here in my office but our strong point as Trinidad is our culture , character and vibe so to speak... If you pick a Afro- Trini to represent Miss Trini their will always be a hotter black chick from the African continent, if we choose an Indian the Miss india chick will always be hotter than her and so the story goes, we just need to focus on our vibe and our strong points as a nation and hopefully the lil chic will do well....
