Dead man on de Beetham?

Postby Centric » September 7th, 2013, 8:11 pm

We have received reports of a massive traffic pile up in the Beetham Area due to a fatal accident along the Highway. Please proceed with caution or find alternative routes in and out of Port of Spain.

Via C News Live

Seeing posts about it all over fb...not much info. Is level traffic on the east lane, most likely macco-jam.

CNewsLive
Two unidentified men were killed earlier tonight as they attempted to cross the Beetham Highway. Reports indicate that the men were struck by a vehicle heading East at around 7.15 p.m. The accident is said to have caused a massive traffic pile up as Police officers cordoned off part of the highway and diverted motorists on to the Priority Bus Route.

According to CNews is two ah dem. Ah guessing they gonna protest for a walkover too?

Wha they need to do is put 8 ft barriers with barbwire there...no crossing at all

Lwwwe doh even talk about that walkover by riverside plaza...every morning NOBODY uses that...a woman does come with she ten chiren and stop traffic to cross them...one day police even stop traffic to let them cross...

So I dunno the point of walkovers if there is no law stating they must use it.

Men who doin dat is sprangers/undesireables. It does give dem a dollar and it eh hard to do for dem. People always dumping tyres> dey make a living off it. Whenever you seeing smoke on the beetham or over in d dump is because tyres burning. As yuh say, power to dem.
