A pillar midranges

Postby chosen1 » August 12th, 2013, 4:13 pm

before I ask......yes I did do a search!!

I just wanted to know if there are any tuners with midranges installed CURRENTLY in their a pillars. I have seen the post from some years back and have seen the comments, but I have never actually heard a setup with midranges up high.

I am really looking for a demo, as I want to try it after some time trolling around forums. I have a kick panel install, and would like really to have a listen to an A-pillar install.

anyone????

What you tryna achieve out of the system and what you got so far equipment wise?

I myself been reading up a lot on it and looks like some good work to get it right if you a novice like me.

Pics of the kickpanel btw?

Get hold of Roger, He is geographically close to you.

People that have gotten it right will confirm that, you need digital processing in time phase and amplitude domains to get it right.

^^very true. I have yet to get mines dialed in.

I'll be at the IASCA Sq competition on 25th August, at Samar Entertainment Centre.

My car will be available for demos after its been judged. I will answer as many questions as I can.

walk with your tracks. no mp3/usb

^^ build is not dissimilar to any you may have seen online. there is a headshok build log somewhere on here that can be of great assistance. I will post a current pic (once I can locate my data cable).

as far as drivers go I am currently using a HAT L4/L1 combo. but you should really come on the 25th. you can also contact Silent Riot on this forum, as he has his mids up high (last time I saw). his are on his sail panel however, and I am sure his soundstage characteristics would be a bit different to mines.

you may be able to listen/see/assess both on the 25th.

I was looking at the pillers from outside his car and i really cant imagine them being a problem unless you go crazy off axis.

you'll be free to ask all of your questions on the 25th...after the car is judged of course.
