That's news to me. It's still common practice in the case of perishable goods like meat or even heavy equipment that can't easily or properly be offloaded at cess for inspection.

That's the whole thing my friend.

Do you know how pleasurable it is to be side by side at the lights or on the track with a "fast" vehicle that is in impeccable condition visually and supposedly power-wise to shock everyone by hopping some 4 car-lengths in front of the aforementioned and maintaining such ?

Priceless....

Bottom line : These two cars are backing up the respect power-wise that they are associated with internationally on the race track especially in Puerto Rico and the USA. The bodywork will come!!!

hadda agree, that "pulling up to lights" logic is a pack of ass, that proves you're a gladman rolling around in a death trap feeling good cause "ah put it on he dey boy realll fyazz he colleck" dem Corollas looking like balls
Interestingly the one with the "newer" number plate is the older car

When you see those people at lights the sensible thing to do is to not pull off as soon as the lights change or else they'll think you're racing them. Unless of course you're driving the same type of vehicle then you can do whatever it is you do with it.

Real toots! His bottom line full of sheit bcuz there's no way in hell those cars making similar power to the ones on US & PR tracks.. Hell, even the Corolla in his avatar is making 700-800hp on 2RZ motor. Those local cars have potential to be built into awesome machines, but with the way Trini's like to "dan up" everything, I expect them to get florescent colored wheels & fart can mufflers.

I agree but it does happen time to time.. i'm not saying that we go out on the streets looking to run anyone at lights like true gladmen.. note i did mention at the track also..

Just making the point that there is more to them that meets the eye. Note, the brakes and drivetrain have been upgraded in the older car and it's got a 6 point roll cage currently..

LOL no buddy, that car actually has the original 3TC motor but of course rebuilt and turbocharged...

and its actually making a little more than half the horsepower you mentioned LOL
