On Tuesday 06th August, 2013 at 10:56am local time, an earthquake occurred North of Paria Peninsula. The event was located at 10.75°N 62.13°W. The magnitude was 4.1 and depth 54km. This event has been reported to be felt in Trinidad. Please note that these results are preliminary and may vary slightly when additional data is processed.

so what we felt was a piece of what happened at the virgin islands epicentre? reported depth was 8km. pretty shallow.

the fault line ends between venezuela and POS. i still dont understand this report coming from uwi. did we experience our own separate tremor? or something like a tail snap from the virgin islands one along the fault line?

im just going on a diagram i saw which showed that we have a branch coming from a main fault that stops in the gulf of paria. we had an earthquake there sometime last year i think. will have to relocate the diagram.

didnt know about the el pilar fault. that is news. but is it connected to any major fault lines? or is that central range fault just a stress line remnant from major earth changes eons ago which split europe from the western world?
