I used Sherwin Williams for Christmas... Hear I am thinking the finish nice.. and smooth... but the thing is....Your walls must be finished properly. If you had a shady workman who did your plastering.. it wont make much of a difference. I used it Sherwin Williams internally.. exterior i used Berger... Stands up better to our climate..
I was reliably informed...

Just a lil advice when next you are passing by a Sherwin outlet, just drop in and give them your email address, they will email you whenever they have specials, which seems to be quite often, and you also get addition discounts for being registered in their data base.

not Necessarily eh just joking a Major Supermarket Chain which is predominantly located in the west but with outlet throughout the country only uses Sissions

oh and BTW Sissions is now owned by Ansa Mcal who also owns Penta they closed down the factory in Chaguanas and moved the sissions operations to the Penta Factory
They are also the agents to Gliddens paints

I recently used this excellent finish and it is supposed to be better than Sissons Weaterguard which I used in the past with great success.

The best paint for our climate is Berger, by a good margin. It is understood that SW is scooping up customers with their big sales, but you could easily lose back your 30% in the lifetime between recoats, or how well it holds up, etc.
The point about colour selection is moot because Berger colourshops will mix any color you can come up with from those extensive color charts, I'm now picking up a few in my hand here, there are thousands upon thousands of any colour. You can fool yourself into using any other brand based on what your contractor is getting discounts from, or what your mother in law thinks, etc. but time will tell.

I have used Sissons and had no regrets on my 52 yr old home. Used the Weatherguard for the exterior and it has held up well for the last five years. The house exterior can now use a new paint job mainly on the southern side where sun and rain blasts the most and causes some bubbling. For the interior I used the Supermatt which can be wiped and cleaned quite nicely once your walls were prepared properly. Powdering surfaces need 1-2 coats of Penetrating Liquid to seal and also prevent bleed-through. Resistance to mould and mildew is also quite excellent since where I live has high moisture at times. Lighter colours also allow easy touch up work to be done vs darker colours.

I have seen neighbours who used "better" brands need to do work after a 6mth -1 year timeframe due to poor surface prep. in some cases.
