That's how important this thread is.

I know a little.

I gots the rx70 with original (from firm) 21r motor

manual or auto?

We rebuilt the motor about 5-6 years ago and about 3 years ago installed and auto 4 speed tranny from the 22r equipped rx80.
Needless to say, that beech does real move

do tell......

what parts/mods did you do to the engine?
any drastic HP Gains cause i know that these engines are torque happy for a 4 banger

no mods, none at all actually. Just did a proper rebuild on it and iirc we replaced the carb with a new one and that's about it.

I remember driving the car before we did the rebuild and it was totally dead, failure to cross 100 km/hr. After the rebuild and break in period, it was just magically fast.

We are the first owners (27 or so years) and motor has over 1,000,000 km on it too. Hard to believe eh? But then again, it's a yota 8-)

There's a guy in cunupia with one. I saw it some years back, covered in dust. He made some ugly mods to the bodywork and said he needed a capacitor of some sort to get it up and running. Just ask anybody in Chin Chin road for 'Doc'

No he isn't, Doc got the capacitor a while back, the only problem is that its not too efficient as it was built using today's technology
