ACT nice but I ind dey 2 fierce, u end up damaging more stuff like mounts and sometimes drivetrain parts. I would choose Exedy stage 1 or 2

clutchs are rated...ive seen alot of people go overkill i.e too much clutch for power ...exedy stage 1 and act street and strip will be more than for an N/a d series. Alot of people are buying exedy oe kits from parts places...these are not stage 1 ,more oe replacements (check part number).

exedy gives a much better pedal feel imo (all factors equal) ..

Never changed clutch since i bought my car i recently did a rebuild on the engine so i decided to replace the clutch one time so I bought the ACT 6 puk copper, because i thought thats what it had before in the box, cause the clutch was pretty fierce and worked well, opened the box only to see that it had ACT street and strip....now i have the copper in and its like 4x as fierce as the street and strip...and since then i slap myself when in traffic.lol....
from my experience if you want somthing fierce but drivable the street and strip is the way to go

stage 1 same part #

they are not the same .below are the respective part #s for 92-00 Sohc clutches
stage 1 part# 08801A

http://www.exedyusa.com/oe/Clutch_Specifications

oem replacement part # 08022

i doubled checked with lange trinidad and 2 parts places last week. the sell oe replacement.

the stage one kit is practically twice the price of the oe replacement..get the stage 1 kit and you wont be disappointed

as i said before ...people in trinidad tend to select clutch kits for power ratings far above what they have and for not recommended usage ...this doesn't equate to lasting longer. ever driven a copper clutch through two hours of traffic and noticed a difference in engagement and pedal feel?something fierce is not always needed.

I only bought it because i thought thats what it had in before...and the one i had before worked good so i wanted to replace it with the same...
But I wouldn't say a copper kit is too much clutch for a street car, if you said twin disc or something then.....but i would say copper is not the most comfortable clutch for the street,....but thats what you get when you put performance parts in your car,
performance and comfort dont mix and if its comfortable then its just as good as stock IMO.lol.

then you got lucky ..i called ..and asked part number and price...what they offer for the prices you quoted is the oe replacement.but ive often heard people in parts places say 'yeah we have ah exedy stage one clutch' and the part numbers dont correspond.earlier you said the part numbers were the same and they are not. :? either way stage 1 will suffice for your use.
