WTK: p11 m6 cvt tranny issues

got a m6 hyper cvt tranny installed recently foreign used and after a while i noticed while going down hill in normal drive gear the engine revs off to 2000 rev per minute until i mash the brake or the gas, this only happens sometimes, looses power sometimes, tiptronic work good at times and then sluggish. someone told me its the cvt pump sticking, looking for info on what causes this and how to fix it, its a 1998 p11 wagon sr20 engine thanks

going downhill, it is normal for the car to "rev off" like that, the tranny controller is programmed to give braking assist so essentially what u are experiencing is the tranny "gearing down". it should happen every time you are on a downhill slope and the accelerator is not depressed.

a number of reasons for the other stuff, hard to say, what type of gas u using, super or premium?

Hi tuners im getting that same sluggish feel sometimes in my P11 also, recently it did not want to shift out of 1st gear after a hard run. I had to let the engine cool for awhile then every thing was back to normal until it went into fail safe mode yesterday, cooled off and working now. Searches suggest the CVT fuse may need replacing, the stepper motor harness may need some wd40 or a replacement stepper motor. from a video I saw on line, krack korn is spot on, it is supposed to downshift using the engine power as a braking measure. Thinking about a manual box in the future, any help here?
