Was interesting to hear what she said about the GT-R though, don't recall any reviewers (even outside topgear) having the same to say.

....that chick in the pink has been on the show before. there's a point in series 10-15 where the same girls keep coming back...a Chinese girl and her friend.....regulars on TG. then there was the hot lesb holding on to her black woman and the other hottie who tried Jezza's seat vibrator....

I'll start looking out for them. I wouldn't doubt it that some people are regulars on the show. In the earlier series, maybe around 7 or 8, there's this laugh - a woman's laugh, pretty scandalous as well that you would always hear when one of the guys cracks a joke, especially Jeremy. I always thought it was his or maybe even Hammond's wife. Haven't heard it recently though.

Clarkson had a previous 'best car I've ever driven' before the LFA. A good bit too. Think I recall the R8, Carrera GT, M5 and the rx8 at a point in time too if I not mistaken!

...and the 458. He took back what he said about the rx8 though, something to do about it's tyres in the wet.

This was one of the worst episodes ever.

That "car vs. public transport race" has run its course. I fell asleep during the middle, got back up during the star in the car part and then fell back asleep right after, only getting up again at the end to see Hammond winning the race.

Did they even put the Mustang on the Top Gear track? Who the hell wanted to see the FT-86 set a time around the track? Everyone knew it would set an average to below average time. The Mustang's lap would have been way more interesting.

Hamilton is back in the star in a reasonably priced car this week.

I am incredibly interested to see how he does against Vettel's time. Should be a good indication of how much of Vettel's success was down to the Red Bull.

Hopefully no rain or snow for Hammybollo.

Amazing how widely varied the views of top gear fans are in here. I find the current hosts are on their way out and the show has been steadily decreasing in quality. I put it down to their age. Sadly I think the show needs some young blood. Declining creativity of the reviews, constantly regurgitating the same jokes, mindless destruction to get giggles from children who watch the show and for some of the recent seasons, overuse of th same music and generally uninspiring sound editing. This weeks episode was much more genuine, Jeremy actually had some interesting points again and it didn't seem like he was just trying to put on a comedy show for the camera. I liked it cuz I'm still interested in new cars and wasn't looking for a comedy when I switched on the show. Oh and it seems like they gave the sound department a few pounds this season for them to buy some epic movie music again yey.

People gonna hate me but they could use some new hosts now. Think bout if it was three fellas like Matt Farah of smoking tire, u know how much them does hav me laughing on smoking tire podcast and he hav a unique perspective, Chris Harris, he a bit arrogant but he knows what he's doing, and Carlos Lagos of motor trend, a young fella who could evoke emotions for the cars the way top gear used to, he is with motor trend btw.

Haha, i just went to page 2 and see that the 3 man combo I want is a combination of who VSpec and M_2NR like as well. Guess I'm not alone on that point then.
Sorry, sometimes I does need to vent and dont read all the posts before going on a rant.

You noticed that too eh. They used music from the SLR vs boat race, the Veyron vs Plane race, and i think the GTR race also.

Nah, Matt annoys the hell out of me, I think his ego is even bigger than Harris', and he lacks a bit of sophistication in my book too. Lago - definitely. What about Harry Metcalfe? He has a very mellow/incredibly knowledgeable view that makes the nerdy stuff not seem boring, and he covers the practical stuff pretty well also.

But when I think about it, it might not really be down to the hosts so much as the producers - I think they need to scratch their heads a bit more. When you watch the news or see the guys 'freestyling', you can still pick up some of the magic that made the show a hit in the first place. I think some more car reviews and better/ new challenges should have them back on their way. Maybe next series

I just sent in an email complaining about the poor quality of content in episode 2. I gave them a recommendation for a competition to find the best overall shooting brake that could be used as a "station wagon restaurant" to sell doubles. I sent them photos of local "station wagon restaurants" and pointed them to certain places in London where they can sample doubles.

Remember folks, you heard it here first!

^ That idea better than any idea I see on top gear in the last few years. Oh gosh, now u make me feel for doubles.

I find Harry Metcalfe is very good at what he does, and very well connected, and has a lifetime of living with amazing cars so he talks as a veteran, not as a beginner, but I think he will not be good at doing other things on top gear, like challenges, being entertaining and relating to other people.

Yea u are probably right about the producers, but in the past the hosts themselves used to be more witty, more interesting and jeremy used to have his own ideas way more, and not just jokes. Even when they sit and talk on the show now, i find its the same old stuff now too.

Maybe it's because we've watched them all so religiously over the past 10 years or so that's is so easy to pick them up on everything. Especially when they do epic challenges.

I still believe they have it in them though. I mean, the cinematography/music in Hammond's Huayra review was on caliber with a lot of the stuff from the olden days, and Jeremy's ray mears' jokes were good too. But you were probably right, it really might be their age.

Maybe they need to take another caravan holiday like they did in Series 8. Apart from the 1st american road trip, that's probably the funniest thing i've seen.

If worse comes to worse, Jeremy should probably get Piers Morgan on. I would love to see THAT interview.

If you really want them to take notice, go to the forums on finalgear and voice your opinion. I know wilman checks that forum, he's had some pleasant things to say about them in the past.
