Horse, half these folks here was still in primary school when the darkroom went out....
all we know nowadays is digital processing.

However, I think I'd like to start into DIY B&W film development, once i get my hands on an old nikon F5... hehehe

Radio Shack

Bought one for my dad, was like $230. Lowepro Adventura 170, price on Amazon is $32US.

Could check it online. Has three padded sections, good for the body and separating lenses or the padding can be removed.

^^ go backpack hoss, wayyyy easier for shooting on the go.

I use a shoulder bag but that got troublesome quick so I put it in a old school bag and it saves me a lot of time when I have to shoot moving subjects. Just aim and shoot, no worries about bag getting in the way etc.

the sling back is actually very comfortable and convenient as a small/quick carry bag. I'd go with a backpack when i have to walk around with a lot more stuff.

I have a few camera bags , a large Vivitar with rain sleeve that is used when going out on semi pro groups , this holds everything and then some . On a normal I would use a strong back pack put towels to buffer and if its rainy enclose my gear in some plastic bags . In other instances such as events the canon shoulder bag is used , this is qusi comfortable , offers some weather protection , stores enough at times.

Another popular choice is the messenger type bags

Because in Canada, this is how we roll. Just being cocky, we were well prepared and took our time.
NY and Boston needs to take a page from my book. Went to work , went for lunch, went out at night.
