help looking for throttle body sensor 4 a CS3 Lancer

Hey there guys.I recently bought a CS3 lancer with a 4g18 engine.The car has been acting real strange lately when i switch on my AC and sometimes when i switch on my lights at night.When i say acting strange i mean the idle drops real low and the car shuts off.
A mechanic at a reputable parts shop told me it could be my throttle body sensor?
What do you guys think and where can i find 1?

You can start by cleaning your throttle body.

If the problem persists, proceed to service the step-up motor. There is a thread that will guide you as to how to do it.(if you are a bit mechanically inclined by all means do it)

If the problem still persists, purchase a throttle body, foreign used will set you back $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 TTD.

Other things to do include taking off your negative battery pole for about 15 minutes or so then putting it back on. You can also have your battery checked as some guys have had failing batteries in the past as a contributor to your same problem.

THROTTLE BODY SENSOR ... you mean the throttle position sensor ie tps

1) the sensor has 3 connections .. a power , a signal and a ground.
make sure the sensor is secure and not loose on the throttle body via the 2 securing serews.

2)Using a meter digital meter check the power going to the sensor... it should be about 5V.

3) then check ground to the sensor, it should be grounded properly.

4) then check the signal , as you operate the throttle its output should change grudually
from about 0.5V to approx 4.5V
At idle or with foot off the gas the signal should be about 0.4 V to 0.5 V

The mechanic can easily do this or this can be seen with a scan tool.
