Rumour has it Pep Guardiola has agreed to become Bayern Munich's next manager
yesterday at 10:29 pm
He’s apparently wanted by Chelsea, both Manchester clubs and PSG amongst others, but Pep Guardiola has reportedly agreed to become the manager of Bayern Munich in the summer.

Thanks to his success with Barcelona during his four years in charge of the Catalan giants, Guardiola has become the most coveted coach in the game, with virtually all of the big hitters in the European game outside of Spain being linked with Pep since he stepped down at the Nou Camp to take a sabbatical at the end of last season.

According to Sky Italia, Bayern Munich have beaten everybody to the punch and have secured Guardiola’s signature, with the 41-year old set to take over from Jupp Heynckes, who had been expected to leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.

There is nothing confirmed yet, but if the speculation turns out to be true it will represent a huge coup for Bayern as although Guardiola has not managed outside of Spain, he turned Barcelona into one of the most successful sides in recent history and also a side widely recognised as one of the best club teams to ever play the game.

The news will come as a disappointment to all of the English sides who had hopes of getting Guardiola on board, although we dare say Rafa Benitez won’t be too unhappy if the move does come to pass.

Guardiola: I want to manage in the Premier League
http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/85/engla ... ier-league
The 41-year-old is one of the most sought after managers in football and despite being linked with Bayern Munich in the last few days, he has given hope to his English suitors.
It was only 24 hours earlier that Real Madrid boss José Mourinho confirmed his interested of coach in the Premier League in the near future.

Loïc Remy joins from Marseille to Queens Park Rangers for a undisclosed price

Lucas Piazon joins from Chelsea to Malaga on a loan

Kaka has said he will do whatever it takes to move back to AC Milan after declaring he is unhappy at Real Madrid.

Spanish newspaper Marca has suggested Kaka may instead secure a transfer to Fluminense, who apparently could match his reported €10 million salary.

AC Milan have announced that they have begun negotiations with Real Madrid over the possibility of Kaka returning on loan.

The club’s official Milan Channel said the 30-year-old Brazilian and his representatives met Rossoneri officials on Thursday and confirmed that Milan president Silvio Berlusconi and Madrid’s Florentino Perez have begun to discuss potential terms.

The Frank Lampard transfer saga seems to be over as the Chelsea midfielder is reported to have a done deal in place to move to the Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer.

Goal.com reported on Thursday night that the 34-year-old midfielder has a tentative agreement in place to join the Galaxy this summer.

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has claimed that Manchester City have quoted them €37 million for Mario Balotelli and that his side will consider a bid on Monday.

City boss Roberto Mancini has insisted he has no desire to sell Balotelli, but it would appear the club have put a price on his head.

It seems Roman Abramovich is doing everything in his power to bring Jose Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge, with reports claiming he has been asking the Real Madrid boss for footballing advice this season.

The Daily Star claims that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been seeking out the advice of Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho throughout this season. The report says Abramovich has been regularly texting and calling Mourinho in a bid to entice him to move back to Stamford Bridge by asking for a solution to Chelsea's topsy-turvy season. It is believed the conversations are an attempt to restore the relationship that saw Abramovich recruit Mourinho from Porto in 2004. Amid claims that the Portuguese boss's rapport with his players at the Bernabeu is strained, rumours linking him with a return to the Premier League have intensified.

Anelka and Drogba cast overboard by Shanghai Shenhua. A shareholder dispute will likely lead to the disintegration of Shanghai Shenhua's roster, including the departure of Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba.

Three of China's major news sites – Sina, Sohu and 163.com – are all reporting that Anelka will forsake the $7 million left on his contract with Shenhua to escape Shanghai this January. In his year in the Chinese Super League, Anelka played 22 games, scored three goals and assisted on six others.

Less than a year after winning the UEFA Champions League will Chelsea by sheer force of will, Drogba has significant interest from Champions League-caliber teams, with Juventus linked the strongest. He scored eight goals in 11 CSL appearances. Shanghai only lost one game he played (though it drew six, more than half).

Anelka and Drogba will likely return to Europe. The much-traveled Anelka said that he joined Shenhua "because of Shanghai," which he listed among London, Paris and Madrid as the best cosmopolitan cities in the world. Drogba wanted to improve African-Chinese relations. Those lures were probably real. Any future destinations will be far less exotic. The quality of bao will certainly drop, too.

In a sense, Anelka and Drogba shanghaied themselves.

FUN FACT : Barcelona could have signed Cristiano Ronaldo in 2003, but the club could not afford him at the time, according to its former president Joan Laporta.

Laporta told Spanish radio show Al Primer Toque on Monday night that he could have signed Ronaldo for less than the €15 million Manchester United paid in 2003, but the Catalan club had already spent its budget on other players.

"(Agent Jorge) Mendes offered him to us, for even cheaper than to Manchester United, due to some transfers we had done for him, including Deco," he said. "But at that moment we did not have the resources after signing Ronaldinho, (Rafael) Marquez and (Ricardo) Quaresma."

The lawyer, who was Barca president from 2003 to 2010 and is currently a member of the Catalan regional parliament, also said AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi tried to exchange Kaka for Ronaldinho, before the Serie A club sold the former to Real Madrid for €65 million in 2009.

"Berlusconi tried to swap him (Kaka) for Ronaldinho, but at that moment it was not an option for us as he was a key player," Laporta claimed. "It was an offer made during a directors meal. It was half in joke and half serious, but he wanted to see if we would be interested. It seemed a pity as it then looked like he was going to be a success at Madrid, but that has not happened, although he is an excellent player."

Manchester United and Crystal Palace have confirmed that an agreement has been reached for Wilfried Zaha to switch clubs in the summer, ending weeks of speculation about the player's future.

Wilfried Zaha leaves Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester following his medical. Zaha, 20, has been strongly linked to both United and Arsenal but has agreed a deal to move to Old Trafford after spending the remainder of the current campaign helping Palace in their push for promotion to the Premier League.

Shangai Shenua striker Nicolas Anelka could sign for Juventus within the next few hours, according to reports in France.

L'Equipe claim that the 33-year-old is in talks with the Bianconeri, and could put pen-to-paper on a short-term deal before the weekend.

The former Chelsea man is seen as a stop-gap for Antonio Conte's side before Fernando Llorente joins from Athletic Bilbao in June, and is eligible to play in the Champions League.

The Chinese Super League is played during the summer months, so a short-term loan-deal could be a possibility for the Frenchman.
