Crime Watch aired the interview of TTASA President Mohammed Ali and his wife, TTASA Honorary Secretary at their Chase Village home after the drive-by shooting.
he suggested that a racer who wanted to go Guyana to circuit race and didn't get a license put a hit out on him, and he handed over the petition list to the police.
LIES!!!! There was never as much hatred for TTASA as there was under the Ali & Ali administration. Ask Ali why so many treasurers and other executive members have resigned in the 2 and a half years he was president? I will call names! Roddy Lallman, Link Sampath, Imtaz Abdul all resigned as treasurer while Ali was president and his wife Vera was honorary secretary. About 5 competitions chairman resignations, two vice president resignations as well as a few members reps and others. In 2 and a half years!
In the Crime Watch video it could only be Ryan Peyrau who Ali is saying he didn't want to give an FIA license to drive in group 4 in Guyana. Ryan Peyrau just WON the 2WD category in Rally Jamaica and is a champion driver in the T&T national karting association. Ali only denied giving Peyrau the license because Ali was being vindictive towards T&T Rally club and T&T Karting club (which Peyrau is a member of both) because those clubs refuse to be controlled by TTASA.
Ali didn't call names but he might as well have. He claimed Link Sampath only interested in power. Vera claimed Imtaz Abdul was incapable as a treasurer. These are BOTH members who Ali and his wife have worked with for decades in TTASA. AND on top of that BOTH were members of Ali's elected committee! Ali put them there!
In the other video they claim they fixed all the wrongs with TTASA. What they did was fixed to ensure they got $$$ out of TTASA! TTASA was paying alot of bills for Ali & Ali under the pretense of TTASA work. Ask Ali and his wife who paid for the cell phones and the cell bills they currently have, claiming it is "TTASA phones for TTASA business".
People only challenge a leadership when it is doing SHITT. Ali & Ali on the other hand feel the challengers are only "grabbing for power". Everybody resiging, is that an indication of people grabbing for power? Ali & Ali are delusional.
Ali claims the other clubs do not follow FIA rules and they are therefore "on the wrong lane". If FIA saw Camden they would shut down any event there immediately. Ali took the FIA people to Hyatt, why not take them to see the "great work" you have done at Camden? Where is the circuit track Ali claim he was building just before the FIA people came here? Another pappy show. If FIA attended any TTASA monthly meeting they would be appalled at what takes place there with their ASN. FIA, FIA, FIA and yet TTASA bends rules of FIA all the time to suit themselves, like these local drag racing license that have been valid since November 2011 (even though FIA license are only valid january to December worldwide) and now it seems it is conveniently no longer required at TTASA event. Clearly that was a TTASA money making ploy in 2011 and early 2012. In the mean time other clubs who don't follow FIA have drivers like John Powell competing at FIA WRC events in Spain representing T&T without an iota of help from TTASA. In fact Powell has only gotten negativity from TTASA for just about the same reason as Peyrau. How can Powell compete in a FIA WRC event without TTASA's help? Because FIA is truly about the advancement and promotion of motorsport worldwide, NOT about the vindictive, conniving, delusional ways of Ali who will deny a racer a license to represent T&T in a foreign country.
Ali is too damn vindictive.
All these drag racing events and still Ali and Ali claiming TTASA have no money. Where the money gone? No wonder treasurer after treasurer resigning.
How much of that money they collect from us for FIA license was really necessary. How much of that money went back to FIA?
The trustees just as corrupt too. Ali secured his support from trustee Doc Baboolal by appointing Doc's wife Linda Baboolal as one of 4 people in the world on the FIA International Anti-Doping Committee so she can travel around the world. The woman never attended a single TTASA meeting! Doc and Linda 43 yr old son Henry was charged in 2011 for bouncing and killing a police officer while driving drunk. The last 3 presidents of TTASA had votes of no confidence filed against them. Now that Ali & Ali leaving, those same past presidents want back in. The govt just need to get rid of the entire TTASA association. All of them corrupt.
Hopefully we in TTUNDRA will get use of Camden and we would not have to bother being whipped by TTASA and their corrupt ways.
Rooki3, what does TTUNDRA need TTASA for? If clubs are allowed to use Camden for motorsport then there is no need for TTASA. The Rally Club and Karting club get along just fine without TTASA.
Ali fooled everyone into thinking Camden was for TTASA use only in order to stay relevant and control the clubs of the Motorsport General Council.
Link Sampath afraid to talk, but just ask him if there was any reason clubs like TTUNDRA and Horizon could not have their own events at Camden, other than Ali just claiming they couldn't so he control them. It's like Ali is Jim Jones jingling Camden keys and showing us his interpretation of the lease and everybody was drinking the jackass juice and believing him. Just like with the "FIA license" to be able to drag race at Camden.
Terrible event, don't think it could get much lower than this for TTASA. frust8ed, sadly, rules were always bent to suit certain people. It's how trini is. It shouldn't be though. Hopefully that can be fixed in time. Maybe now it will be time for reorganization though. Get some younger people that are actually interested in carrying the sport forward.
ttasa was not heading forward, they were heading down. if the accounting was straightened out, well good, but the ship was still sinking.
who ever gets ttasa leadership, hope they officially and publicly relegates the status of NGB onto the MSGC. hopefully they would do so with the ASN status as well, if not immediately at least some time in the near future as the MSGC gets a good showing.
its sad that this is what motorsports has come to thanks to TTASA ..............that is if the allegations made by the president are true......but even so for them to be made at all means all is not well but yet TTUNDRA and Horizon were supporting TTASA 100% when they were warned years ago so dont look for pity now
