Less than the cost of the fuel subsidy and lost productivity for the past 10 years

A Developed Country Is One in Which Rich People Use Public Transport.

Wish this was done, would have gladly welcomed it.

We can't maintain a proper bus service, yet want to implement this?

The Government need to learn to crawl before they could walk.

By your reasoning we shouldn't build new hospitals either?

Besides PTSC has gone from a 100 non A/C buses to +300 A/C including an executive service. They bring over +100,000 into the city. The next progressive step would be mass transit.

so you're saying it's not possible to review your fuel / service bills for your gas car for the last 10 years, and decide if purchasing a diesel vehicle will be the cheaper alternative for the next 10?

Can't maintain the roads either or even get markings done. The cost to maintain this after the capital outlay will be high. Also, they said clean and safe parking lots. Like the parkade on Queen St. ?

Yet you still have to wait 2hrs for a bus from port of Spain to sando on a Sunday morning.

i still say more buses, running of biodiesel, produced here.

but any way, in this day of telecommunication, decentralization is the way forward, not cramming every tom dick and harry into the towns

" review all public transport and choose this alternative?" - it's not eleiminating the others, so why the cost compare there. the cost mentioned was subsidy and time lost.

"i tort he wud compare it to the cost of the pt highway, water taxi, public transport cost."
time = distance / speed. the benefit again is time.
Are you aware of the time wasted over the last 10 years getting in and out of port of spain?
