I would recommend tasker, brilliant app that allows you to pretty much do anything (steep learning curve mind), for screen time out you would be able to create a profile to automatically adjust if certain conditions are met, for example i have one where if my music player is on (you can select multiple apps if u want), screen timeout changes to 30 mins else it remains as is, ( programming of sort).

in any folder. on your phone storage or on an SD card. click on the .apk it and it will ask to install. enable install from external sources before in security settings.

U guys know how u can put a blackberry on phone calls only mode. Any way to do that on android with an app or something ? Never see that in a rom.

Hold down the power button. Click data network mode and deactivate data network.. Or ya don't want text messages either?

I think he means the alerts not actually turning off data/messages.

Yea phone calls only is a profile where phone calls ring like normal but no alerts for messages and other notifications.

yeah in CyanogenMod go in Settings and then Profiles. Create or modify an existing profile. Set ringtone volume. and then set notification volume. Notifications are sms and mail. Further down are options for application groups. Play around and see what you want. Dunno if these options are in stock rom, but most likely yes.

AOKP roms allow you to do absolutely anything.

Yea I have AOKP right now. When I had cm9 I remember the profiles options but I prefer aokp. Currently using resurrection remix ics.

Installed 4.1.2 this morning. Working smooth, multi windows nice, improvements in camera apps functions and gallery design. Poland update of course. S3 digicel.

4.1.2 is wickeddd!!!!! Plenty extras. GUI kinda actually feels different.

I've had one for the past 4 months. Only problem I find is it's a bit wide to hold when making calls.. but I don't really spend that much time on the phone. Great for e-mail, web browsing, watching a movie when waiting somewhere etc.

i already have a tablet

if you didn't know i'm a heavy away from the desk user, emails, presentations etc on the go

hence why i'm still a blackberry user
