problems with cvt transmission in serenas

what are my options when my cvt transmission starts giving problems.
i have a 2004 nissan serena c24.
sr20 engine and cvt transmission.
it's hard to find a good transmission repairman in trinidad.......first time problems with tranny.

Looking to get a Serena, but worried about this CVT thing. Did you get it resolved ? Does anyone in Trinidad fix CVT transmissions ? One man tell me Serena is real trouble.

There is also Winston in south, Dumfrees road. he is also good, can do dagnostic also

Last I hear Winston was on crack but prior to that he was a good tranny guy. Has he been rehabilitated?
