When the 920 drops in price i will get that.

the phone does that for you no need to manually close them The WP7 device has a watchdog process, which kills any process after opening more than 3 apps i think
on the other hand you can select apps that you may need to be running in the background without closing eg whatsapp so to get notifications when a msg is recived

under edit apn I'm seeing 5 fields:

APN (I entered bconnected)

Username (entered nothing)

Password (nothing)

Proxy server/ URL (entered 0.0.0.0)

Proxy port (entered 8080)

I set Data Connection to On and & selected E as the highest connection speed, yet it does not work. :?

Best solution for smart dialing?

I haven't updated my Lumia 800 yet though, don't know if the update includes this feature. I downloaded Speeddial, it's ok, but not seamless into the phone app like the Android or Blackberry.

Tried what you said and it didn't work. Guess I'll have to call. Thanks for your help though.

The APN should be "internet" as far as I am aware.

On another note, my Lumia 800 is dropping service intermittently (no bars) with BMobile, even in areas with good reception.

I am now performing an update, are any other users having similar issues?

So I turned off the Lumia 800 last night and when I put it back on this morning the data worked with just the the 'bconnected' APN that gastly369 suggested!!
Which would be better to use though, Edge or 3G?

WRT to the dropped calls and network service issues, I'm having the same problems with a few phones at home including a Nokia C3 and a couple Blu as well. All with bmobile.

I find the screen guard looks worse than the scratch. but then, the 800's screen isn't oleophobic, so it might be an improvement.
